Volunteers Needed for the Wide Open
The 30th Annual Kansas City Wide Open is being produced by the Kansas City Flying Disc Club in close cooperation with Disc Golf World and Dynamic Discs. We’re hoping to host over 400 players, which means we need lots of help. Being part of the success of a large disc golf tournament through volunteerism is both fun and rewarding. If you are interested in helping out, please attend the volunteer orientation and training on Saturday, March 24th at 1 pm at Camp Lake of the Woods in Swope Park. There will be camping options for volunteer candidates and KCFDC members that are joining the support staff for the KCWO30. Signs directing you to the Campground start at the Swope Disc Golf Course. For more information, please contact Dan Cashen at 913.638.6399.
If you are interested in volunteering but cannot attend on Saturday, please contact Rick Rothstein at 816.471.3472 or rick@discgolfworld.com. The next volunteer meeting will be in April, so please give us a call or email beforehand to confirm your interest.
We hope that all KCFDC members will embrace this historical event through staffing and/or playing and/or sponsoring. If you have any questions or ideas for making our visiting player’s stay in Kansas City more memorable, please contact any member of the Kansas City Wide Open Planning Committee, which consists of:
Crazy John Brooks-crazy@crazyjohnbrooks.com
Rick Rothstein-rick@discgolfworld.com
Dan Cashen-dcashen@tmsmech.com
Jack Lowe-jlowekc@att.net
Tavish Carduff-tavcarduff@yahoo.com
Thank you for your support and energy to make this the best KC Wide Open EVER!
