Calling all volunteers (adults, teens & kids 7 yrs+) to help clean up litter/debris and low brush/dead limbs toward the safety & beautification of Water Works Park.
KCMO Parks & Recreation staff will provide 2-3 crew members, trash bags, work gloves of several sizes, various tools & equipment, and trucks to haul it all away.
Please bring your own hats, sunscreen, bug spray, work gloves, bypass pruners, long-handled loppers, and manual hand saws if you have them. Bring your drinks & snacks in a cooler if you so desire. A public drinking fountain and a port-a-potty are available in the Park.
Some parking is available within the Park; overflow parking is available in Cerner’s surface parking lot (former Farmland facility) on N. Oak Trfwy just east across the street from the N. Oak entrance to Water Works Park.
If you know of a youth group that is interested in a community service day, they would be most welcome.
Please contact Patsy at 816-454-0874 for additional information.
In case of a rain-out, alternate cleanup day will be held the following Saturday, Sept. 28, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
