What an amazing start to the 2018 Kansas City Flying Disc Club Championships. We had 80 players play at least 1 round today. 56 players are still in the running to be the 2018 Club Champion.

Thank you to all the volunteers who stepped up to help set up the temporary course, take memberships, fill out cards, grab lunch for someone or just playing and having a good time.

Due to the lower than usual attendance, we will consolidate the field to 1 POOL for Sunday. EVERYONE WILL PLAY LAKESHORE (P HILL) in the morning. PLEASE, be checked in by 9 am to help us get everything moving quickly and smoothly.

Here are the scores and a small write-up of today's action. If you scores are not right, or are not listed and you need to be added, please contact Dick Parker by emailing asap.

Who won?
Fox Hill Elementary / concrete tees coming soon
« Last post by john theiss on October 16, 2018, 03:58:24 PM »
Bill Lentz, Fox Hill pe teacher secured the funds for concrete tees. He is still hoping to replace the baskets in the future as well but concrete tees are a more pressing issue and happening very soon.  He secured the concrete for 65 a yard which is unheard of so we need to make these pours as easy as possible on the drivers and company. Many folks know that LaRon Harris has taken great interest and assembled a strong group of volunteers to help maintain the course and take some of the load off Coach Lentz.  With these new improvements Fox Hill needs some more energy.  We need...

-someone to donate their skid loader to dig out tee pads
-Plus a couple folks that could help frame up boxes
-and a couple finishers

or just more strong backs that would like help and possibly help move concrete in wheelbarrows when needed

For more info, contact LaRon Harris.

Look here for updates.

It's for real.  Don't hurt yourself.  The prizes are not that big.  Like maybe a couple of discs.

Is the pterodactyl distance contest for real? I’m only getting about 125 and it’s difficult

Are you going to fly like a pterodactyl, or are you going to let the Big Blue Monster beat you down?

This is a marathon 1-round PDGA Sanctioned C-tier.  All 27 holes at Blue Valley set to as long as they will go.  Expect the round to last 5 hours.  13,000'+ Par will be around 96.  Will know for sure by tee time.

All amateur players will receive an Innova Discs Pro Plastic disc and a Maverick logo pin. There will be additional payouts for Intermediate and above. Recreational & Jr players will receive the disc and pin plus a bonus item (your choice of Innova patch, Innova lapel pin, Innova license plate frame or Innova playing cards).

While there is a Junior division, small kids are not recommended.  This is a lot of golf!
