You're going to want AM II or any lower divisions provided.. possibly recreational or intermeditae.  Good luck!
Title: Can anybody play? <G>

And is there like, an official T-shirt or something?  <G>  I know I'll get my butt kicked, but it might be fun and I might pick up some pointers.  Nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Ask about joining the KDGA.  We have a tour with 25 events or so that keeps track of points and qualifiers can win big $ at the last tourney of the year.  Entry includes a shirt, free summer BBQ, & entry into the tour points competition (with huge end-of-year payout!).

I saw your question on this Eric and was hoping Bob might chime in. I wll  call him and ask around to see who besides Bob has the keys. We should be able to arrange this for you though.

I wish to thank all  players who come out to Prairie Center League on Monday evenings.  The league is one of the best things I look forward to each week.  We will be playing July 4.  Also, in the next few months I hope we can move hole No. 12.  If anybody can help, let me know at 913-888-8863 (business phone) or 913-940-3021 (cell).  Hopefully we will be scheduling a work day.  Thanks-Bob Hayett :D

Here is Bob's contact numbers.

i read the post about points and stuff like that,  but does this tourney have prizes? Like disc or anything like that?

If you play in any of the Am divisions the payout will be in prizes only. In any of the Pro divisions the payout is cash.

Any luck in getting this sanctioned as a PDGA C tier?

We were too late in asking. The paperwork had to be in 30 days in advance. Sorry...

It's still a KDGA Oz tour event in case you are playing the Oz tour for points. Otherwise it's a non-sanctioned tourney at the lovely Prairie Center Park. It'll be a great time no matter what.

How do you get there from Omaha?

Take I-29 south to I-435 South, Topeka. Stay on I-435 until you run into I-35 South. Go South on I-35 to the Santa Fe exit in Olathe. Go west on Santa Fe about three miles until you cross K-7, past a big intersection where the Price Chopper and a MacDonalds is. Go to the next light you come to heading west and turn right. The course will be on your left about three blocks to the north.

Someone else might have more time to look this up on Google maps or something. I'm headed to WyCo for league!! Good luck. Hope you can make it.

A slight correction, or improvement, to Kevin's directions...this seems a bit easier in the long run to me, but whichever way will work.

When you get onto I 435 southbound, go to I 70 WESTBOUND.
That's right near the Kansas Speedway.

Take 70 West until Highway 7 exit (I think it's the 2nd exit after you get onto 70...)  Take  7 South to Santa Fe, it's roughly 12 miles.  Right (West) on Santa Fe to the next light, Olathe View Road.  Right (north) on Olathe View to the park on your left...keep left inside the park to #1.

You can also get a map on the PDGA course directory or from the "Courses" link on the first page of the KDFDC page.

Looks like you had a good turn out, and there was a Jr's division. How cool is that. I haven't seen that in quite some time.

Thanks Eric for running the show. I wish I could have made it out there, but Blue Valley was calling my name.....he he he he.

Big thanks to the guys form Emporia Disc Club for running this event!  Thanks to Bob for moving baskets and spotting!  Major thanks to Tony and Angie for feeding me lunch at the break, that sandwich was awesome!

I had a good time, came in 2nd and got some new plastic!  And I now have now have 3 complete rounds at PC, with the first round being my best.
