I witnessed the national anthem played at Sharks in the Water. Crazy John played trumpet. I thought it was a nice touch and have asked several times why not play it.

That WAS pretty cool. Honestly, he could of played any song and I would of loved it.

Please keep "your god" off our disc golf course.
Fairy tales belong behind stained glass!
Don't pray at our players meetings and we won't throw putters into their holy water font? =D

By the way, Crazy plays the Trombone, not Trumpet...

Just to clear things up

What does your time spent in the military have do do with the discussion?

I made my point coming from you, the source.
I don't get what you mean at all, I'm afraid.

I'd be fine with either the National Anthem or some Slayer.

How about everyone just hums the old theme to Monday Night Football in unison while the TD reads the introductory paragraph from the DG Competition Manual?

"Let us hum."

(gallery begins humming)

"Disc golf is played, for the most part, without the supervision of a referee or umpire. The game relies on the integrity of the individual to show consideration for other players and to abide by the Rules. All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they may be. This is the spirit of the game of disc golf.

"So say we all."

(gallery replies in unison)

"SO SAY WE ALL!"

(Edit: I'm not making fun of the practice of reading this out in a player's meeting. I think it's a good reminder!)

No, and I would not like to see it start happening.

Totally Agree! God Bless America would be much better.

;   Anybody ever hear of the National Anthem. .being played before a Disc Golf Tournament Begins...?

Punctuation? Your posts are a disaster since no one knows how to read them. Semicolon, space, period, space, period, continue question, ellipsis, and question mark.

I am a fan of the Oxford comma. How about that? That should make for some good banter...

If it weren't for godless communists, no one give two shakes about the anthem. It's a profession that WE are better than them and that is open to perspective and interpretation of what better is.

And thanks for the nod from Nova on reading from the player's manual. :)

;D Dude chill out. Trade them oxfords in for some flip flops.  Thank you for reading it. And your reply was outstanding. Very professional.  I agree the National Anthem is uncalled for in disc golf at Professional events. But my opinion is just one of many , as yours is that you are above anyone else.  As for punctuation. .....  I make up words....that you have never heard of!!  My apologies for enjoying life and entertainment. Next time I will try and ask a question, in a way that might not offend you and your belief's. I will put it in a way that you can understand it.
