Tournaments / Re: Club Championships 2018 Updates Posted Here
« on: October 20, 2018, 08:54:19 PM »
What an amazing start to the 2018 Kansas City Flying Disc Club Championships. We had 80 players play at least 1 round today. 56 players are still in the running to be the 2018 Club Champion.

Thank you to all the volunteers who stepped up to help set up the temporary course, take memberships, fill out cards, grab lunch for someone or just playing and having a good time.

Due to the lower than usual attendance, we will consolidate the field to 1 POOL for Sunday. EVERYONE WILL PLAY LAKESHORE (P HILL) in the morning. PLEASE, be checked in by 9 am to help us get everything moving quickly and smoothly.

Here are the scores and a small write-up of today's action. If you scores are not right, or are not listed and you need to be added, please contact Dick Parker by emailing membership@kcfdc.org asap.

Kansas won by 1 point. I'll have a complete write up on it later tonight.

The 7th annual KC Team Challenge got off to a great start for team West, coming in West 5.5 vs East 3.5 after best-shot doubles.

Now we head West to Heritage for Alt-shot doubles at 9 am, followed by Singles. Who will win?

This Friday is the West Side qualifier so I wouldn't shut it down this week.

What's the significance behind $315? Is that the cost of a new Mach X?

I don't read either....but that is to get the basket modified and to get a stand for it as well.  $250 is for the "nofrills" just pull it out of the ground and give it to me.  $315, covers the ~$65 to cut the pole, and get you a stand for your backyard or where you want it to go.

To be fair, You are long winded and I barely ever get past the first sentence. Even though I did edit your spiel down for the Club Facebook page. I'm now remembering something about $315.

No way. I'm sure that was just a sexy look-a-like.

My friend who is organizing the event just registered for an account here, can someone approve him.  Johnston1215 is his username.

Thanks.

He has been an approved member since 3/25. He just hasn't logged in.

Cliff Drive / Re: NE LEAGUE 2018
« on: April 02, 2018, 10:16:20 AM »
We will start (hopefully) on April 10th.  With the snow and weather right now, I am not starting league like this.  The plan is to play Blue Valley once a month during league rotation.

This league will be PDGA sanctioned through parts and subject to change on other weeks. During the PDGA portion (Beginning in May) to participate in the league you do not need to be a PDGA member.

$4.00 Buy-In ($5 Non-KCFDC member)
$1.00 KCFDC fee
$1.00 PDGA fee
$1.00 Ace Fund (optional)

During April Signups and rolling starts begin at approx 5:15, after May 1 signups begin ~5:30 with teeing off at 6:00 PM
Ace pot starts at $798.

Will examine other options, such as doubles, triples, alternate shot doubles (random), worst shot doubles, etc.... during NON-PDGA portion of the league.  The first league will be standard singles divisional based, Pro's play for Cash, Am's play for KCKash.

Questions?  HMU.

NE LEAGUE? Is it Hazy?

There was a discussion about it on FB. I don't remember what happened or if anyone knew. I think they just want me to go and redesign the course so they are removing pads for me.

You or anyone for that matter can submit a tournament to http://kcfdc.org/tournament-proposals/ . This, of course, is if you already have a date, plan, budget, idea in mind. If you are looking for advice then this might be the right place. I would say, as far as the BoD is concerned, having details of what, when, why, where, and how are questions that will be their main concern.

Hope that helps.
