As far as BRC goes, I worry more about 14 than anything else, since there's the maze of paths between you and the basket, most of which are directly in the fairway.

I would assume the difference between Prairie Center and SMP, as far as the island holes go, is the difference between throwing across an active road at SMP, and throwing across a cul-de-sac at Prairie Center. I'm sure that people do in fact drive around that circle at Prairie Center, but I've never actually witnessed it.

At least on 14 at BRC they are out in the open and not coming on blind (like holes 7 and 15) but I digress

Maybe fun, but it causes slow downs with 90 people on the course.

And besides Dick being right for once, hole 15 to 13s long pin is not cool. ;D

The Rangers have seen me putting up and tearing down the temp basket on the island several times and never said anything to me.

I imagine this is a risk management issue more than anything, which is fine.

I sometimes bring my temp basket out to SMP in the mornings to use on the island during my casual rounds. I asked a lady at the Visitors Center but she didn't mind after I expressed caution would be taken. After that, I have only had one P&R guy ask if it was mine. He only asked that I remove it after my round. They were both nice about it. Not saying anything but commenting that it hasn't been an issue... So far.

League with ~30 to even 50 people is a far cry from the ~200 people planning on playing the Championships.  It is always better in these cases to work with and ask the P&R about these things than to ask for forgiveness.

Excellent work on ensuring that nothing irritates the P&R.

Has the Swope layout been finalized yet?

And more importantly, when will it be set up and do you and Patrick and Gary need help setting it up?

It is basically set. Just not set up. I will get a list of baskets to put in place for Patrick by the weekend. After I get the maps finalized I will post them here and at the book of faces.

probably a dumb question, but are the courses still open for rec play until the tournament? was hoping to go out to Swope this weekend and get a practice round in.
