I'm out of school that Friday, and I can set up the Tedds Dredd with Ted if he's up for that.

For anyone else reading this wondering what the hell is going on, early this Summer I became in contact with a guy (Mike) from Colorado, that is actually a KCFDC member he was looking for people to play golf with when he came to town to visit his family.  Sounds like he's making a return trip although I was left off his email he sent to everyone else :(

So I vote for Tedds Dred, I need to get another round out there before I forget my way around :)

..........................................................................................................

Hi all,

I am planning a trip back to MO. over Thanksgiving. I will be driving in on
11/22 and staying till 11/27/05. Just wanted to see if anyone was up for a
round. Let me know. Is there going to be GLOW at WW on T-Day evening???

Thanks,

Mike Livingston

Hey Brant,

I will either be down for Glow at WW on Thursday evening. If not I will try
to play on Friday during the day. I would like to play the BVP course and
maybe Cliff Dr. course while I am back also.

Mike

I can bring an extra basket for hole #10; the placement is already designed - pretty much.

Title: Let's Go Disc'n
Post by: mister pfister on November 18, 2005, 10:08:16 AM
...I have noticed from the poll that there are few takers for BVP. My own two cents on BVP is that it is hands-down the most awesome park/disc course in KC. Yeah, it'll make ya cry the next morning, but that just means you had to work for your score:) As the alternate positions come into play, it will be that much better.

As for disc'n, I am trying to get a group interested in making a small road trip tomorrow. The plan is leave KC about 9 AM, go to the NEW Riverfront DGC in Lawrence, play a round there, then head over to Mike & Amy's place in Tecumseh (between Lawrence and Topeka) for lunch, a few brews and then a round there. If we have any energy, we could always play Centennial Park on the way back.

Any and all thoughts are welcome!

OK, for the record, I would love to play any of those courses and especially Ted's that week-weekend. I will be leaving town Friday and wish to get one round in early on Thursday morning. I still not sure of what days ya'll are talking about. if it can work then I will see ya'.
I got the e-mail from Mike and I hope to see him on Wednesday on some fairway. So I am asking who else is planning on a round then?
As for this weekend it will be an early round Sat. and Beer League Sunday. So it is no go for the Lawrence trip for me. Sounds like a cool new course in the woods along the river. I live on Elm street in North Lawrence back in '88-'90. To the west there are two parks, one on each side of the river. When I lived there I would ride  mountain bikes on the trails along the north side, to the east. I will be interested in hearing about it. Have fun. dudes.

Title: Ted's Dredd
Post by: discaholic on November 23, 2005, 08:20:31 PM
Hi everyone,

I made it in last night from Colorado. I always like to play something new when possible. I would like to play Ted's Dredd if possible. It sounds like a fun course. How does around around 10 am on Friday sound? I will check the forum to see if that works. I will also need some directions on where it is. Someone mentioned it being near WYCO.My folks live outside Platte City and this would be pretty close for me. Sounds like a large group playing. Maybe we should consider doubles. I will check back for more info.

Please respond so we can confirm the plan.

...here are the directions. Does someone have to call Ted or Wood'z first to arrange us playing there? I am looking forward to it, as I have not played there since the Redbud Open:) Happy Turkey Day to all...

...contact Jeff “Wood-Z” Woods at 816-333-3105 or 816-561-5800. To make camping arrangements contact Ted at 913-530-3312...

This is from a flyer for this year's earlier event. Please post a response if you get permission to play the course - thank you! We are bringing a small grill, charcoal, brats, chips, buns, etc. If you want to cook and eat, please bring whatever food items you want.

They may charge about $5 per person to play, as this helps offset the facilities cost. Well worth it though - AWESOME COURSE.

Title: Waiting on word...
Post by: mister pfister on November 24, 2005, 05:21:38 PM
...just talked to Will, and he is going to leave a note for Wood-Z to call me with 'the word'. I am going to the Plaza Lighting, so it may be a couple of hours before I can post an answer.

Do we have back-up course picked in case the word is 'NO'. How about BVP? Awesome views out there, but will be tough with strong winds.
