« on: September 30, 2016, 04:39:27 AM »
A friends son is on the Robotics team at Belton High. I've never played the course, and have heard is pretty blase, but it's to support a good cause.

Come support your local high school Vex Robotics team, see their robots, play Hungry, Hungry Robos, and enjoy one round of recreational disc golf! Belton Cyber Pirates has ranked in the top 30 out of over 14,000 teams in the world for the last three years. The Belton Cyber Pirates Disc Golf Benefit is open to players of all abilities including beginners with one round of recreational play, and awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places as well as Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin mini events. Pre-registration of $35 includes premium player pack with two custom discs for the first 50 players. If you register on the day of the event, the fee will be $40 with no guarantee of premium player pack.

Young from the short pads sounds fun Stomps.

Never mind.  Answered here.

I do believe there should be a rule in place though. The course to be played must be announced at least 1 week from date of challenge.  Some team members can slip away for a round at one course, but may not have time to play at another.  A captain would need to know this.  Unless you pansies don't want to play against us, and would rather cheat to win by forfeit.  Scared of the actual challenge.

So bold and intimidating!  ::)

Matt Perry and I were talking about going down because he's still renting a place there, but I won't be able to go. Good times will be missed :(

Beginners / Re: Zoysa

I've wondered whether some type of creeping grass like Zoysa would grow on Waterworks hole 6 fairway. I read that it has origins in erosion control. I don't think it won't in the shade, just not as well. I'm sure there's a variety that will grow in shade better. We need to do something about the bare spots around the city. Many trees have died and are continuing to die off due to the toll erosion has on them.

#1 Tag will be up for grabs at the Hills tonight. I'm down for "all in" if you are.

Legacy Park - Lee's Summit / Re: mowed and pins moved
« on: June 03, 2014, 11:24:26 AM »
Any idea when Legacy will be mowed again Eric?  I was there on Sunday and it was pretty shaggy.  I'm looking to take a group of 8-10 guys out there on Saturday morning, but most of them haven't played before and I'd rather not lose all of my excess discs, so thought I would ask before heading out there.

It's really sad that this continues to be a problem this year.

Summer Leagues / Re: 2014 league at Wilbur Young

Just made an assumption that people check their unread posts as opposed to clicking in every forum to see new items.  No worries, just food for thought and wasn't trying to be picky.  Every other league is posted in one thread.  Trying to save you some time homie.

I click on every forum because I like to see what was already posted. Just in case I missed something.

Yeah. I agree with Jamie, only follow the rules you want to! Otherwise I might not get home in time to watch criminal minds..

Lakeside Hills / Re: Hole Distances

short 1 is an eyesore and 12 long is a genius placement with ample options for a 3

I don't disagree that there aren't ample options for a 3 on that hole, but a par 3 should have at least some option for a 2 with a great drive.  Ask Jake, he said he bombed a drive and was pin high on the right.  But he didn't have an option on a putt just an easy upshot?  I like the hole even though I didn't get up and down.   Wind had plenty to do with it for me and my thumber needs some work.

Though my drive was pin high, it was still 120' to the right of the pin with no visibility. It was not an easy up shot. I would agree that hole 12 long is a par 4 unless every cedar near the basket (the ones on the right) was trimmed to about 6' off the ground like they did on 8's cedars. Then it would be another of many tweeners on that course.

Columbia City Council approved the plan to construct a disc golf park on the property at 801 N. Strawn Rd.

My signature on the petition worked!
I can't wait to see the layout.

I don't know why I would need a callout. It's in my side pocket because I don't want to get it dirty. I defended it in the 2nd round of Kan-u-Wyco and 2 rounds yesterday against Jon Thomas (#12). I'm not hiding, just not getting to play as much as I'd like to.
