Disc Return
« on: September 19, 2014, 09:59:51 AM »
I put a disc into the maintenance area at Legacy last weekend and I reached out to park and rec to get it returned.  They called me back today to tell me how to get it back but they also mentioned that they would like to get some kind of disc return box out there.  The individual I spoke with was Devin and his number is 816-969-1533.  He is interested in working with the club to get it done but he was not sure how.  He mentioned that he had reached out about it before and did not get a reply and asked if I could try.  I was not sure who to contact so I put it out here to hopefully get it to the right person.

I'll give him a call Bill.  Thanks for the info.

No worries, he just seem pretty excited to work with the club to get it done.

That's funny, because when we met with the P&R, we suggested that and they didn't want to go that route.

As usual the KCFDC is ahead of the curve. It just took a bit for L.S. P & R to see the wisdom of your ways.

I actually sent an email to LSPR a couple months ago and suggested this. I got relatively positive feedback, but have been so busy I haven't gotten around to talking to anybody else about it. I'm glad someone else has made the same comments. I really am upset that nobody at LSPR even calls on discs to return them. I don't know where the discs go out there when they're lost, but they're gone.

I simply called them and they returned my call a day or so later to inform me that they would leave my disc right in their entryway.  The shop there closes at 3pm and if I could of been there they would of given it to me instead of leaving it.

I have spoken to Devin a bit about the course and the KCFDC. I would gladly assist in collecting discs and forwarding to the owners. This might be my chance to do something for the Club in recent history.

Did I mention I work at Lee's Summit City Hall?
