One of my kiddos was out at Heritage for a soccer tournament this past Saturday (11/08/14) so I thought I'd ditch the wife and go over to the disc golf course area for a quick sneak peek at what has been going on lately.  As I walked through the opening of tee box one area proceeding down the 1st fairway I hear some noise.  I scan the ground ahead of me and just 50 yards away is a small pack of coyotes.  Ummm....Holy Sh$T Ghost!! I almost crapped myself.  I immediately turned around and booked it out of there.  Not cool, but I lived to tell the story.  Don't those things eat disc golfers?? :-\

Scott, Matt and I live near there and I know we keep talking about stopping by, but Matt says he would really like to help when he is free. It sucks that he works every Saturday and sunday, but he usually has Wednesdays off and doesn't go in until 1 pm on some weekend days.

Spring is stlll the plan but with winter coming, it just depends on how much we get done before snow fall and what needs to be dont in the spring.  The Baskets have been ordered.

Crispian,

I will let you know when I am there again.  I usually do most of the work during the week since the weekends are harder for me

Let me know too. I could come down and help a bit yet, and have some limited daytime availability.

I just went out today and walked around the course, looks great! The course looks nearly done and pretty much playable! I've heard the baskets are ready to be put in, when do you suspect the baskets will go in the ground?

the goal is to have it in the ground by memorial weekend, but it really just depends on how the winter ends and what happens in the spring.

ON a side note, I will be out at Heritage on Friday around 1 with the parks department, if anyone is available and wants to come help/see the course

Scott, wish Matt and I could make it out Friday, but alas, we are both scheduled to work.

Thanks for the thought Crispian.  I know its hard for most people during the week since they have to work, but its hard for me to do it on the weekends.  Either way, things will get done

I doubt that I will be able to make it Friday either. Are all the marked trees the ones you are planning to have removed?

Not all of them but most of the them.  Some are marked as I am not sure but want to see what they look like once other trees are gone
