They will probably pick a Dlineman as they have for several years. And therefore, will suck on offence again for several more years.

What they really need is some solid offensive linemen and a top quarterback.

There are a couple O Line guys in the draft worth grabbing. I think we should start there. Then go ahead and spend the $25M of our salary cap that sits unused on a real quarterback. There are a couple of goods ones out there looking for jobs. I hear Vick spent some significant time in these parts. He might want to come play for us.

Yeh, anytime Vick is in a game, it's a real dog fight.  ;D

He would be a great asset for the first 6 games before he's out for the season. Hopefully we get a good back up. Stanzi FTW!

chiefs could sell the team to manhattan, kansas; essentially drafting a literate and knowledgable fan base.

...Manhattan?

They should sell to Lawrence, Kansas as there is never any football occuring there, but they do host the only perennial winning team of any kind
within 300 miles of KC.  ;D

And with the first pick, the Kansas city Chiefs draft, Gino Smith (insert boos)! We will then pick up Vick in FA. We will get a WR with the 33rd pick. The Chiefs will then again suck next year, possibly winning 4 games (we play Oakland twice, so it's not too much of a stretch). If this holds true, our much beloved Chiefs will be lucky enough to draft a D Lineman in the top ten in 2014.

Please, no more of those highly articulate and well-spoken LSU players.

If we pick up Dog Killer I'm done with the Chiefs.

Lemme get this straight: You're not done with them when they had a player who murdered the mother of his child, had countless players who committed DUIs and put other humans' lives at risk, and let woman beaters like Larry Johnson play for them, but you'll be done with them if they hire a guy who killed a few stinkin' dogs? Glover, you're one misguided individual.

All those incidents you mentioned happened AFTER we got them I believe. Dog Killer already has his reputation. I do appreciate your opinion as me being misguided. BTW I am a huge fan of yours. Maybe I am misguided.

manhattan fans wouldn't tolerate such dangerous anti-social actions in their town.

You must  be forgetting the only winning pro team currently in K.C. Sporting Kansas City. I'm no soccer fan but I will admit they know how to get a winning team together.

east side kcfdc is currently an undefeated kcmo team, but expect a slight roster change in april. i'm neither a fan of soccer or kck, but changing up the chiefs fan base may be what this football team needs to succeed in the nfl. it's just an observation, that the recent batch of fans since the chiefs were any good are not sending out enough positive vibes, so if you're a chiefs hater right now, you're not really cut out to be a fan of the team. haters should move out of town, or get on the love-bus and encourage the team move out to a place where the can nourish and flourish on positive vibes.

Here's what Mel Kiper's first Big Board has predicted:

Luke Joeckel
COLLEGE: Texas A&M AGE: 21 HT: 6-6 WT: 310 POS: OT
Analysis: He has started every game at left tackle since he arrived on campus, protects the passer with what could almost be perceived as ease and has zero durability questions after three years against very good competition. Joeckel has been so good, a big question about him at this stage might be whether he's truly nasty enough, a point of pride among elite O-linemen. The kid is a gifted technician at left tackle, and the Chiefs could go with the strategy of drafting their left tackle for the next 10 years here, then taking a shot on the best QB available with the first pick in Round 2. Two needs, two picks. We'll see, but QB value at this draft slot isn't in play right now.

17 of the 30 Super Bowl winning teams had quarterbacks who were first round picks.  That means for you mathematicians that more than 50% of the winning QB's were first round picks.  You don't have to be an idiot (I'm talking about all the Chief's GM's since 1984) to pick a QB with your first pick in the draft at least 50% of the time until you WIN A FRIGGIN SUPER BOWL!  That being said, is there a QB coming out of college worthy of the #1pick this year.  It's too bad Johnny Football has to play another year to be eligible to be drafted.  God willing, barring injury, you'll see Johnny Football holding multiple Vince Lombardi trophies over the next dozen years.  I'm afraid the Chiefs will go after another veteran and most likely a back-up.  EVERY QB the Chiefs have started for decades now has been a back-up before coming here: Grbac, Bono, Green, Gannon, Deberg, even Montana had become a back-up to Steve Young before becoming a Chief.  WAKE UP Chiefs.  It's time to pick a QB #1, if not this year, VERY soon.  Back-ups are back-ups for a reason.  They usually don't win championships.
