Sounds like a fun tournament free coke for everyone and free panties for the ladies. I hope there is a players party.

I had no idea what FTL was doing or if it was still going. I guess if I was a regular or knew how to search through old posts I would have known.  I won't be able to make it to BV at noon to play that monster course, so if anybody on the South side (besides Tank) wants a shot at my #1 KCFDC tag come on out to Birdland.

There is going to be a round at Lakeside Hills starting at 1PM Friday 11/1. Everyone is invited to come check out the new basket locations before the Club Championships. There will also be a bag tag challenge for those with tags. If there is enough interest we can also throw in a little wager. If the Friday traveling league wants to be part of this, that's fine. I don't even know if the Friday  traveling league is still meeting.

Bag Tags / Re: What tag you got? 2013

I still got it! :) I beat Dick on Aug 19th gave him 295 the first and only time I traded tags this year.  I figured the only way to beat the curse of losing it the next round was to not have another round. I actually had about 6 rounds playing in the Open div every time. (Check out the league results in Olathe). The #1 tag has given me invincibility powers like I have ever experienced in my 10 years of playing. I regret to announce that I will not be able to win another Club Championship this year, so I would like to have a round Friday Nov 1 at Lakeside Hills starting at 1 PM if anybody is in for it. The forecast is calling for sunny skies and 60 deg. I would also like to play for $5/person or you can option out and just play for bag tag. I have to pick up kids on Friday after school so we would need to start by 1 PM.

I vote for Lakeside Hills, that may entice me to bring out the #1 tag one last time and I will only give Dick Parker the off card challenge. The City of Fountains tourny is the week before so I may only be able to just get in one round of the Club Championships.

here's a helpful hint: if you never pitch in to help or have never run an event and you have an issue or question, bring it up BEFORE the event is over. chances are it can be resolved then and there.
and go ahead and add three strokes to the player whose score you were keeping and he still finished ahead of you.

When a player blows up on one hole it usually affects the way they play the rest of the tournament that is unless they can just take a 4 and convince everyone in their group that's the rule.

"if you never pitch in to help or have never run an event and you have an issue or question, bring it up BEFORE the event is over. chances are it can be resolved then and there."

Is this advise for the person who cheated or the people on his card that let him? If there is an issue that comes up during the round its the responsibility of the player and the people on the card to resolve it and if they have "never pitched in to help or have never run an event" maybe they don't know that you can go to the TD to get it resolved. I did not see anybody cheat. I did see someone playing badly and was still able to come in with a good score.

What a fun event. I can't wait to play next year. Discraft needs to come out with a new putter and call it a Classic Buzz to help even the field of discs used at this event. Team Buzz only lost because it was the most popular disc choice. There needs to be a equal match up between teams. If team Roc can only come up with 11 players then just use the top 11 scores on Team Buzz.  There was also one player that finished ahead of me who thought 4 was the max score you could take on one hole and I saw him get at a 7 on one hole. Maybe that rule was only for Team Roc members.

That's James Mowery (maybe Mowry). He quit playing because his bag of discs were stolen. I remember one cold night at glow he had to quit because his sweat was freezing to his face and glasses. I have seen him about 3 times since he quit. He was a waiter at AMC,  he also sold soy candles at Old Settlers and with quinnie at Walmart.

Paige peeled a blister off her throwing hand and hasn't recovered since. Phil Arthor withdrew for personal family reasons after having a bad round. Sounds Philthy! Got to watch the Champ today battle it out with Barry just like old times. Yeti hanging in there with his bum knee. Sarah Hokum told me at the Glass Blown that she didn't want to play the KCWO this year because it was too many rounds. Looks like that's playing in her advantage at Worlds so far.

Just got the PDGA discgolfer magazine and it has a picture of Feldberg playing in the final 9 at Swope with some guys (Henry Poe, Jay Revard, ??) from KC in the background.

I' m confused? Since this is the 1st Annual does that mean the inaugural event was last year? Is there going to be more than one Men's Open division?

Great tournament overall..a little unseasonably warm, but no rain!
I would have liked to finish at Waterworks, there's just little relief from the heat at Cliff. I know we would have had a problem with all the casual players out at Waterworks in the afternoon since they had no warning about the course being closed.
I also like the 10am start and the 1 1/2 hour lunch although if we had a rain delay it might have been tough getting finished before dark.

Ahh... a/c if it keeps the wife happy it must be a good thing. I just bought one of those little cans of freon for my car and it was $15! Looks like a/c is getting to be one of those entitlements only for the rich again, or those with connections. I grew up in KC and we didn't have a/c at home tell I was in my late teens about the time good old mom & dad kicked me out. lol
