I'm not kidding, I was out there yesterday after the rain from the night before, people on the straw is a bad, bad idea. It will only serve to destroy what is trying to bounce back. Give it time to make it tho.

I agree!

Keep off the grass (or hay)!

Old Pike
Ted's Dread
Shawnee Mission
Blue Valley (the whole thing - I have played the front 9)

The Pleasant Ridge Middle School course at 165th and Antioch (south Johnson County) is a nice 18 hole pitch and putt course, longer than Yates.  It has a mix of wooded and open holes (lots of long grass on the open holes) with a little bit of elevation change.  I have played it a couple of times.  It is pretty nice.

I really dug the design you had for the wide open!! Maybe something similar to that???

I was thinking we could do a Tie-In to the 30th Anniversary of the Wide Open for 2012, kinda like what was done for the Worlds in '09.

Next year is the 10th anniversary of 9-11, if we wanted to get patriotic?

I like this idea for 2011.

Geocaching is fun, but I think the risk level can be much higher than a 1...I have been in some sticky spots while looking for a cache (side of a cliff, high up in a tree, caves, etc.)

Check your email!

I have a Pink DX Panther (174 grams) that is about 15 years old.  I used it quite a bit when I first started out, but it has been sitting in my bag for a long time now.  It is in fairly good shape...a few nicks, but nothing too bad.  I can email you a pic if you would like.

Those WyCo Parks Police are really handing out the tickets.

Things are going well.  I am now the 1st shift supervisor.  Ashley is now a manager over the Data Entry people.  Things have really changed in the past couple of years.
