fred says it's nice enough for a 6 pmish tee for one brisk round of gully golf.
several holes have been extended in honor of the shortening of blue valley: 4, 6, 10, 11, 15, 16, and 18 will have you thanking or cursing kansas city's own kc for moving a pantload of pins.
$5, $1 ace fund ($110-100% payout) random draw.

that's all those lonely old bv fellers wantto do is to clear your browser.
the banana bunker is brought to you by the same company that markets the new and improved xzylo!

Before leaving, I took the opportunity to berate a couple of the creepy old queers sitting in the parking lot. I told them, in no uncertain terms, that they will have to find a new location to perform fellatio on one another. Their response? "We weren't doing that... here."  :o

Then the one got back in his own vehicle, they both left, and I received an approving smile and thumbs up from the P&R employee watering the new greenery on #10. We're gonna take this park back, just you watch! 8)
mike, found something that might help in case you ever feel uncomfortable at blue valley:
looks like it could be deemed blue valley approved, maybe they could sponsor a hole (sorry, had to) in an upcoming (last apology) event.

the new shrubberies will really improve the asthetics and add some obstacles to the course, money and time well spent.

blue valley..........lite..........our group of two barely recreational gmaster golfers, one advanced gm, and one grinch and his dog all agreed to try and finish the truncated version some day. while it will make it much easier to play 18 at bv and another course in the same day, we rejoiced that the option to play the original still exists.
tally 4 great big "eh" votes. we find the lite version one third less fulfilling than the real thing.

one news report said bones sticking out of boots.......wouldn't that level of decomposition suggest a lion's den timeframe?

proposed entry fees:

Open men and women: $130
Other pros: $105
Advanced: $80

Above require PDGA membership to be current

Below, will have the ability to add $10 for PDGA tournament fee
Others ams: 55

This is the proposed fees at this point, this DOES NOT include PDGA fees (typically $3-$5/person) nor a determination on KCFDC fees at this point (typically $2), or Ace Fund money (generally $1/rd). More information to follow, but in case you wanted to know as this is coming together......

hmmmm....was excited to play in my first WO, but at least $65 (approx) to enter definately puts a damper on that exictement.  That's almost 2 other tourneys!  I would definately enter ADV Masters over Int/Rec if the K7 is used (havent played SM and only played Olathe and WyCo once each plus further away from the "real" action)....but that would also mean $25 more (a 3rd tourney).  May just sit out this year and improve my game for next year. Definately glad to have a heads up.  Sure hope the players packs are gold plated and loaded and there is all the adult beverages you want for that price.   :(

I gotta pay over a $100 to play old man open? with no player pack or guarantee of a payout? what kinda scam are you people running?

if anyone wants to get into cost/benefit analysis why not look into the thousands of dollars and thousands of hours of time and energy invested by individuals to make sure you have a wide open, much less 30 of them? since you seem concerned with gettting something for giving something why not volunteer and help create a merit system: X number of hours of service gets Y sponsorship.
if nothing else it will give those who need to whine something else to whine about......for 6 months.

Are you somehow suggesting that I might be... (dramatic music) "Sand Bagging!"  (more dramatic music.)
no worries loomis, here in the heart of bagger country you are lightyears from catching some of kc's finest silica carriers.

Swope / meteor shower glow 1/3
« on: January 03, 2012, 12:10:07 PM »
come out to the gully tonight for the first quadrantid meteor shower glow round. 40ish degrees at tee time and if we have clear skies we should be able to see a few in the eastern sky; supposed to peak at 1 a.m. hopefully we'll be finished by then.
15 is in the long peninsula setting, ace fund is over a $100. rumors abound that ekolk might grace us with a visit, please come and take his money.

I still invision the Smith-villians vs the Gaylaytheons!! :)

Oh, I get it. It's funny because gay means stupid and isn't a sexual preference. Or maybe it is, and it is inferred that we are all homosexual because we play in Olathe.

Stay classy Smithville.
didn't realize it was considered a preference...............thought one was born gay...............kinda like born to throw gateway or something.
