Is it possible to miss the 1st round Sunday, but play the second round? Would there be any point in doing that other than enjoying water works?

From what I gather u can play what ever rounds u want. But u have to play all them to get the bag tags in order of finish.otherwise u are on the first come first served list at another date .and from what Mr Parker said earlier the tags will be givin out at that other date.

Billy is correct with everything he said here.

Jack, are you gonna defend your E-flight crown from last year? :D

I just might refrain from deer hunting for that weekend. I only played the WW round last year and still had a blast with Spencer and Elza and some other dude.

I was wondering.  If I set up a 9 hole Mini course on Sunday at WW would anyone stay and play doubles afterward?  I am going to start another thread and see if there is any interest.

Here's a link for a flyer about the Kansas City Flying Disc Club Championships: http://www.kcfdc.org/docs/2009kcfdcc.pdf

There's also a link kcfdc.com's homepage.

For those who want to see the unformated contents of the flyer, see below. Hope to see you there.

RR

2009 Kansas City Flying Disc Club Championships
Saturday-Sunday, October 24-25
Rosedale • Swope • Cliff Drive • Water Works
Entry Fee:
FREE to active KCFDC members. Or join  the club or renew when signing up—$20

Optional Gaming Stuff:
Ace Pool: $4.00 for all four rounds. All aces split the pool. If there is no ace, a short CTP will be held for 1/2 the pool. The other half goes to the club.
Skins: $2.00 a round. This is a different kind of skins in that all of each round’s skin money goes into a single pool. At the conclusion of the round, the hole-by-hole scores of the skins participants are compared. Any player who is the only one with the lowest score on a hole wins one skin. All skins split the pool.

Schedule:
SATURDAY, October 24
Registration: 8:45-9:35 a.m.—Rosedale Top First Tee
First-round tee off: 10 a.m.—Rosedale Top
Second-round tee off: around 1:30 p.m.—Swope
SUNDAY, October 25
Third-round tee off:  9:45 a.m.—Cliff Drive
Fourth-round tee-off: about 1:30 p.m.—Water Works

Format:
All players will be mixed randomly during the first round, and then deployed by score for round #2. After the second round, flights will be created that hopefully will give each player a sporting chance to win a Flight Trophy. The player with the best score after all four rounds will have his or her name engraved on the traveling Club Championship trophy that they keep for the year.

In addition, 2010 Bag Tags will be distributed initially based on how a player finishes in this event. For example, the Champion will start off with #1. However, tags will not be available in time for the Championships. To be eligible to get a bag tag based on your Club Championship performance, you must pay the $5 for the tag on Saturday.

If you can’t play all four rounds, come on out and we’ll put you on a card!

Inserting dumb question
Can I register to play but DNF all the rounds just so I can get a tag at the later date?
I realize I will be the last to tag from all others who play.

Anybody can get a bag tag, the club championships will just determine the order of the top tags handed out.

Glover is just wanting to get #74 for example if 73 people play, and since he is claiming gimpness, he wants an advantage.

Glover, since to get a bagtag order you must play in all rounds to have a score that would go into the mix, my thought is that you would not qualify for a lower number tag, but would go into the mix for the remainder tags if you did not play in all rounds, as you would not have a score that compares, but then I am not running it, so I may not be the best person to ask.

Claiming gimpness?? And what advantage??
I guess the surgery scars, the swelling,  the doctor bills and the limited funds are not evidence of injury!!
In my opinion I would fall into the same category as those that only played one round only I pick last from those that played. Unless some other unfortunate person is also injured and cannot play.
Its not like my tag will never be challenged next year so I doubt I keep that low of a #.
Anyone who is a paid club member, shows up and actually plays at least one round, has the better advantage of a lower #.
If people don't show up that are members, that's their mistake.
While I am there I will volunteer to help out during the championships if help is needed.

Just for example: IF I did  attemept to play at least one round I guarantee you the group I am put in will not be happy because how long it will take me to get from Point A to point B. Hey I know, Put me in Jack's group since he is concerned about what I do. Hmm, Rosedale is first round with minimal hills. I just might do that.

Btw if anyone is REALLY concerned about my wellbeing. I JUST came from seeing the doc and he said maybe another month
IF I"M LUCKY!!

Calm down Steve...

If you come play or even attempt to play in only one round you don't qualify for a reserved spot in the tag distribution no matter what. That is for people that play in and complete all four rounds only. They are then given the place in line for a tag that corresponds to the place they finished over-all in the Club Championship.

For example: Arturo plays all four rounds and finishes in second place to Dick Parker (fat chance, but hey, it could happen...), Arturo would been guaranteed bag tag #2 while Dick would get #1 . Then I show up and play only Sunday afternoon. I get nothing guaranteed. I will get my tag as a random draw from those remaining after the guaranteed tags have been distributed.

As for the perceived slight at you "claiming gimpiness", I don't think you have any reason to be ticked off. You are indeed claiming that you are injured. No one is calling you a liar. I hope you heal well and sooner rather than later.

So chill dood.......  Get your tag randomly from what's left like all us other folks that aren't going to be able to play all four rounds.

I'd still like to be put on Jack's card and see how he likes how slow I play.

And thanks Kevin for explaining I go to the random draw pile.
I just wanted clarification.
