So is the vonA Starfire a Kurt Vonnegut themed dye?  If so, hilarious.

oh man, there are so many good vonnegut graphics that would all be fairly sample.  hmmm, you do requests on discs?

I do and I have posted most of these on DGCR.

I will take requests.

teebirds are both 150's, x-outs that I got cheap, some of the first ones I was really happy with.  They are hanging on my wall and gonna stay there.

I think you may have to teach me how to do multicolor dying.

I really like both of those teebirds. If you do some 175 stars I might be interested depending on how much you charge for them.

Wow, those dyes are amazing. I am extremely curious how you do those so well. I have done a lot of dyes and even some multi colored ones, but none that are that crisp and detailed. What is your secret? I'd love to know the process you use to do these dyes.

Thanks Anthony, I've liked the stuff you've shown.  The plotter really helps but I was getting pretty good with the exacto before I got it.  I think good vinyl (Oracal 651) makes a huge difference and then its all about paying attention to detail.

Amazing!  What kinda price range are we talking?
Title: Re: Dyed discs for sale or trade
Post by: dan howard on May 11, 2011, 11:06:07 AM
Prices are:
precut vinyl   -    $10.00
Single color dye   -     $10.00
double                -    $15.00
triple                  -    $20.00
more                  -     ask
intricate designs   - ask
art workup           - ask

The marbling counts as one color, so for example the 2nd panic disc (not the New Orleans disc) has black, red, blue, plus two marblings, the yellow orange inside the lines and the purple/blue/red in the border, gonna go for $30.00, the Walter S, Mark it Zero disc, 1 color, one marble, $15.00.  I can provide the disc at a slightly discounted rate.

The marbling is very plastic specific, only Star, ESP, or the equivalent can be marbled.  Champion, eliteZ, cryZtal and equivalents can not be marbled but otherwise dye very nicely.  I do not dye Pro, eliteX, or their equivalents.

Artwork for precut vinyl needs to be a scalable vector (.ai, .eps, .svg ...) otherwise I have to turn it into one and that's not an easy job unless its a simple two color (b&w) image.

I'm just south of KC so as long as there's no real time pressure anything in the KC area should be able to be hand delivered, so no shipping and you get to inspect the disc before paying.

Is that demon holding a beer mug from Stone Brewing? My last name is stone and I just got 12 stone beers from my beer club today... I might just need that.

Also, that FSM one is awesome!

Added a couple of new ones to the catalog recently.  Have a look here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/46398088@N08/sets/72157626422475104/).

This one can have your name and your disc on it, i.e. I am Dans Discraft Buzzzz

On the disc that says I am Jack's Discarft
Is the disc intended to have the image of the owner on the face of it too?
I think thats a neat idea.

Too much work :D   Besides, having Brad Pitt and Ed Norton kinda keeps with the whole Fight Club theme.

Picked up my Yoda disc last night before heading out to Rosie. Thanks a lot for dropping it off man! I'll see you the 1st Friday of August. Hopefully I don't run into another guy with the same disc.  ;)
