If I can make it tonight, would you have lights available for purchase?

Great course!  Nice to see a good group of golfers and guys out there.  Thanks Eric.

I saw a picture of a basket in the Belton course this morning.  When I walked it the other day it was very rough, plenty of poison ivy and long grass, so beware if you go play it.

It is at the park just south of Mill Creek Upper Elementary School.

Not sure how much to trust someone flying all the way to Japan for a disc golf tournament. ;D

What division are you going to be playing in and what do you normally shoot at say Swope or Rosedale? The answers to these questions will help the people your asking answer them better. Some tourneys have a better AM experience that others and some have a better Pro experience.
I will be playing Advanced and in general, shoot around par at swope and rosie, 960ish rated.  Thanks for any advice, good to hear different perspectives.

Des Moines and Minnesota Majestic

Yeah, what he said!!!

Des Moines is easy. Great, great, great courses. I've not played the MM but everyone who has raves about it.
From the distances provided on DG Course Review, it looks like 2 of the 4 courses in Des Moines (Pickard and Walnut Ridge) are for big arms, which is not me, but sounds like I need to play the tourney.

The Minnesota Majestic courses do look top notch, one cut out of a pine forest.

If you could play a couple of out of town tourneys this year, which 2 of the following would you pick?

1. St Louis Open
2. Des Moines
3. GBO
4. Mid America - Columbia
5. Branson
6. 4 States

Eastwood and I may make it out for the 9 am round. I rolled my ankle today, so it depends on how it feels in the morning.

Anyone know if the pads have been cleared?

Good chance I'll be there for 1 of the rounds, maybe both.

Swope safari was fun.  13 long tee to 14 was my favorite.

Well done John! Great course for the juniors and plenty of stuff to keep the kids entertained.

If only I would've made my putts on holes 3, 4, 8, 12, 14 and 17 (all were within circle or just outside) - I could've been in the magical 30's.
Jordan, that has to be one of the funniest quotes ever posted in the forum. ;D ;D ;D

That was a fun tourney.  It is nice to have two challenging courses in a tourney that close to each other.

Thanks to Quinnie for the great hospitality and to all of the guys that put in the hard work out there.

I'm glad Bures, Webber, Zane, and Crowe played Open.  I think a few more tourneys where you are donating to the Matt Perry college fund is going to push your game to a higher level very quickly, keep it up.

General Banter / Re: Rolla - Lion's Club DGC

I played the course on my last recruiting trip down there.  The Lion's Club down there did a great job to put in a fun course.

My memory is that there are a few trees that can swallow a disc on the course.  I remember having to spend about 30 minutes getting a disc out of a tree on hole 2.

I thought there was one hole near the end of the woods that had a switchback fairway.  I thought if I had some time I could figure out a high route that would go directly to the hole.

Have fun, wish I could join you.
