I would imagine most disc golf courses do not allow them and they are not PDGA legal

If you dont want the players package, you can get a discount of $10.  If you want the players pack, one of your choices is a $10 Voucher.  These options are only available if you register by the Early bird date which for this event is Feb 12th.

6
During the Early bird, if you elect the $10 discount by declining the players pack, you also decline anything else that might pop up in the players package.  If you elect the $10 voucher, you still get the entire players package.

12 days left for the early bird registration.

What does early bird registration get you?
Amateurs get to pick the disc in their players package. If they dont like the disc, they can elect to get a voucher instead or event decline the players package for a discount. It also means that they do not have to rush to get a good pick because your selection will already be held for you, even if you are the last person to check in on tournament day.

After Feb 12th, you will get the same players package, you just do not get to pick your players package option ahead of time.
