almost more interested in where it was found, looked awhile.

United Rentals will again donate a generator that can handle powering all the crock pots.    We would just need some good extension cords to plug them in, i would guess heavier gauge better and maybe some power strips?

i hurt right hand a couple years ago and started learning to throw left.  i played a lot of baseball and was rt handed, it does mimmick a right handed baseball swing, it seemed natural to sync the hips rotating with the release of disc.  the most difficult thing  was learning the foot work and getting comfortable with that and being able to generate the spin with the left hand.     grabbing a disc and spinning it straight up in air and catching with left hand seemed to help get some muscle memory built up.   reps reps reps like anything will get you better.  i am lucky to have a dog that can retrieve the disc without tearing up the "good" plastic.  she will dent a dx plastic disc, but champion grade plastic she wont leave any marks, you can get 25-30  throws in 15 minutes or so doing this while learning one disc.

the challenge i find is keeping both hands from getting rusty and i throw heavier stable left hand and lighter under stable rt hand better,  trying to get a handle on that but the beauty of golf is there is always something to work on.

General Banter / Emporia Saturday April 11th.

I am going to play Emporia this Saturday for a GBO warmup.  I am going to take a van up there.  I have room for 4 more if anyone is interested in a ride.   I plan on leaving from my house (I35 and Johnson drive) around 8ish and play two rounds.   I was going to play Jones West and Peter Pan, haven't played either.  I am guessing  we would be back to my house by 7:30 at the latest possibly an hour or so sooner, just depends how it goes.

I got 3 maybe 4 already going but have room for 8 with bags and a cooler.    Let me know if anyone interested.

United Rentals is loaning us a large tow behind generator.   I've never used one this big and my sales rep didn't seem to know much about it, but he thought it should handle up to 50 crock pots..    It has two conversion boxes that have a total of 18 receptacles between the two of them.    one box has a 50' leed and the other a 100' leed.

I would think the heavier gauge cord and shorter the cord the better,  would be a bonus if the cord had a few outlets  on the female end as well.  I think we need power strips as well.

It seems pretty user friendly and wasn't nearly as loud as a anticipated.

its a whisperwatt model dca-25-us12 if anyone wants to check the specifications on it.   its loaded with 41 gallons of diesel which I assume is plenty for the day.

I was planning on bringing it around 9:30 am sunday,  if it needs earlier or later just let me know on this thread.

See you Sunday for a great cause.

Thank you DD for a great tourney.  I had a blast even though my score wasn't what I was hoping for.

The only rule Loomis gave that I was unsure if it was correct was on hole 3 (because the situation was potentially dangerous, and it was slick as snot)  was to encourage people who threw down the hill on #3 to figure out where you went "OB" on the tree line and take a penalty and throw from that spot instead of re-teeing it up on the slick box or walking down the hill and risking a nasty fall.   there was a big backup and I'm sure they wanted people to stay safe and keep it moving as well.

great times.

Utz,  great tourney,  unfortunate, but like you said,  you knew you threw well and you did, so you get to take that with you.

Anything shaking 4th of July in regards to FTL?   I usually work on Fridays and have always wanted participate,  need to knock this off the bucket list.   just curious, i realize its the holiday and all but I'm pretty open up until 2ish.

Thanks for the heads up fellas..  just passed it, i assume it will take days to process to get my red x off there,  so i'll take a printout with me.

super excited.   going to leave early in the morning.  got room for one more, in case anyone needs a ride.

tulsa bound! 8)

anybody want to carpool?

I am probably driving up early Thursday Morning to Tulsa.   I am hoping to check out Blackhawk and Redhawk courses prior to playing them in tourney, at least walk them to figure out layout..   Are there any carpools going?  I will likely have access to a 12 person passenger van.  Does anyone need a ride?    or if no need to take van maybe i could get a ride?   I would be leaving from my house near I-35 and Johnson drive between 5-7 am.  I am flexible though.     I  would plan on leaving asap sunday after tournament to come back to kc.

Deciding where to book a room as well,  I was thinking the Ramada Inn on skelly?  anybody else going to be there?

let me know if interested.   can also email me at
