Nice Bowl is a term I hear a lot about on 3's pad. Can you rename the term 'mulligans' ?

Do over...

Alas, the career of a meteorologists. I hope all "those" nfl commentators are "incorrect" too.  ;)

I'm a transplant from a city that's not Pittsburgh, so I have little bias. As an outsider, I'd say the Chiefs have a momentum problem when it comes to the playoffs, and it also seems that the Steelers generally have the Chiefs' number. Steelers 27, Chiefs 14.

Great choice Nova!!!  :) :) :)
See me if you need mulligans... ;)
Steelers dodged a bullet there KC. Phew... :o
See'ya this weekend KCFDG @ BRC and SMP.  Be nice to me though.  I hadda put up with a lotta $#%&@ leaving Arrowhead.   :( :-\ :-X

Yes Dick. It seems so far, staying further south.  This pressure ridge is very difficult to predict with the flucuating temps and thus its best to defer to caution.

I am glad MK rescheduled and compliment his decision to do so.

But I wonder why this was said.

"We aren't canceling because of weather.  The SM Parks and Rec will not let us play."

Well done SMP, well done!!!

It's unfortunate KCFDC wasn't as proactive, as imho, KCFDC should have been so, mimicing the local, city, county and state agencies playing it safe according to the National Weather Service bulletins, which is a Federal agency.

Hey MK.   If its as crappy as they are predicting on sunday morning are you still going to run the event from 8:30 to 10:30?  Driving myself 40 minutes to get there and dont want to drive on the roads if it might be called off.  Of course if there's an half inch of ice on the road no ones going anywhere.  Just curious. Thanxs Mike.

Here are the three historical Ice Bowl® Rules that convey Ice Bowl’s spirit:

1. Under no circumstances, may an Ice Bowl® be cancelled or postponed because of weather conditions.

2. No wimps or whiners are allowed.

 3. There are no excuses for not attending. Either be there or be called out as a wimp!

Since Steelers vs that other team  ;) kick off time has been moved to Sunday night due to public safety concerns, yet the Ice Bowl will still be held?

I respectfully disagree.  It should be cancelled if the weather truly becomes unsafe to drive let alone attempt to drive off an icy teepad.  There are other weekends scheduled to make it up too.

Quoting the following:

"While Rules 2 and 3 are “inviolable,” recent winters have taught us that sometimes cancellations are warranted. Defying the conditions is a big part of the fun, but Mother Nature may force Rule 1 to be broken; public safety is of the utmost importance and should guide your decision to hold your event if conditions are too severe or dangerous."
(End quote)

What if someone gets hurt or worse, on the way, during or going home from this event?

Will the club be responsible in some way?

Do they have insurance for this event too?

How many participants are required to qualify as a Ice Bowl?
