Tournaments / Re: KCFDC Championships - October 11-12, 2014

I was just stating facts. It's your show, and you do a great job! I just remember how the fun factor goes down when slogging thru mud. I doubt anyone will break their leg or anything, like from playing du on ice. Maybe we will get lucky and it won't be muddy at all
::) I just thought everyone shows up, the field gets split, and half go to another course. I see how that could be really difficult.  ;D

We have MULTIPLE courses that would not be as dangerous with that amount of rain.  I realize this is the only place we have 36 holes  together, but we really need to look at staying off down under with the conditions that are predicted.

Not ideal, but SMP is 20 min from Rosey. Just not sure how to split the cards since it it just show up and play.

Maybe Tom's suggestion to split the cards and have folks move to the other course could work.

Thanks,

TomV

Everybody plays in the same conditions guys.  Just be careful, tread slowly and nobody gets hurt.

So EVERYBODY is at risk for injury on a course that will be unplayable if we get the predicted amount of rain.

I have spoken to Devin a bit about the course and the KCFDC. I would gladly assist in collecting discs and forwarding to the owners. This might be my chance to do something for the Club in recent history.

Did I mention I work at Lee's Summit City Hall?

So we have an inside man when trying to "fight city hall"

Thinking about doing singles for the remainder of the season as the days get shorter.  I will be there at 5:30 ttaking sign-ups.  As soon as three or more have a card they can tee off then. Last card will tee off at six (hopefully with no more than three.. ).  We will have three divisions Open (950 or higher)$7, Pro 2(949 or less)$7, and Am (900 or less)$5.  All payouts will be in cash.

Let me know what you think...

Where were you guys tonight. I would have loved to be in the ace fund!!!!  Got hole 12 with Blizzard Boss.

Hole 14/15 shut down at PHill when ever the scouts are out or there is a large group at the shelter.

I am still amazed at how much PUBLIC land we are GIVEN for disc golf. We need to share.  Yes it is frustrating to get to a course and not be able to play and knowing about these practices is a good thing.

Please everyone remember that we have to share. We lost holes at PHill because a few people could not understand  PRIVATE PROPERTY and had to trespass to get a disc.

Aced #12 @ Legacy tonight. Beth and Tyler Dennis witnessed my Blizzard Boss fly right up the middle with a slight righthand fade before sliding back left for solid chains.

That ends a near 2-year drought, last one was 18 short @ Youngs Oct 1 2012.

Just got a call from Gary and Sandy, they went out to eat after the tournament, when they got home someone had stolen all there left over drinks. I know it was not any of our players. We have the best and most respectful bunch there is. If anyone hears anything please let me know.

WOW, that stinks!

Sorry to hear such turds took advantage of some VERY good people.

Thanks again for a great time at the BACA Tourney!!!

You can play peter pan any day of the week. A big draw ( for me ) is getting to play those coveted 1 or 2 times a year ball golf courses.. That stinks!

My point exactly... even though the point Jack took from the comment was I can't type very well :)

Anyone know why we are not playing the Municipal golf course?  Playing both ball-golf courses was a big draw for me in this tourney. Committed this year, but will be thinking about budgeting my time/$$ differently next year if they still are not using the muni course.

Actually Bird thats a great idea. Think of a concession stand at Smithville so when you want to play 54 you dont have to drive all the way back in town for a snickers, or a nice waterfall at cliff...that would be pretty sweet, and yes bleachers at Prarie Center so the families that come out to watch their brothers/fathers/cousins play soccer could have a place to sit instead of in the fairway at #11. All great ideas sir, keep them coming!

It was in my jacket pocket at the first tee. Moved it to my bag there and it must have fell out somewhere during the round.

I know it is a long shot, but if you find it, I would be nice to get it back.

Thanks,

TomV
