I have no authority, but acccording to park statutes carts are not allowed.
The park is already ripped up from mowing right after the rain.
BTW for all you fine folk in discgolfland I am moving to St. Louis this weekend to help with an ailing friend.
Good thing, 2 courses within 5 miles.
I wll miss Swope immensely.
Spent more than half my life there. Almost every day.
Hopefully my ashes will be dispersed there upon my demise
So try not to step on me. And quit hitting the %$#@ing trees. 2 cents.

I have pics but can't figure out how to post them here.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
It was good for me to help with the last 6 boards. Gary Birge was fading. I could tell because he kept knocking over his beers.
The first player to cross it was a 10 year old girl. She even had a disc bag.
Hope for the future, I reckon.

You know you are one when almost all of your computer passwords are 'discgolf' or disc related.

You also know you are one, when after throwing your favorite disc in the lake, you have to take a moment of silence for the dearly departed, and try not to cry.

You know you are one, when falling asleep at night, in your mindseye, you do play by play on the round that day.

So I turn 60 tomorrow. 34th season. Played or putted most every day until lately. This weather sucks tremendously. I will be out at midnite to bring it on. Anybody willing?
I thought not. Look for me, I will be the polar vortex laying down on your errant throws. Put the strings on.
Lately I play in my dreams anyway in slumberland. Always a birdie, with a few hole in ones. And the disc always floats for retrieval.
Love your life.
Love our game.
Love somebody.

Now where the hell did I put that Champagne?

And there is this

I really don't get the waste of time and energy and gas trying to get a 10-20 dollar disc back.
Unless you know the person and hold it for them for a later date.
The mere mention of getting law enforcement involved makes me cringe. Waste of taxpayers money for your errant throw.

No doubt that the tile in the link will be built into discs in the future. Look at what glow lights have become.

It is OK to like your disc and take them out on dates, maybe even develop a bonding relationship.
Just don't marry them, they will always leave you. Unless you hang them on your wall.
Even that is no guarantee.

Bring on some Spring, Jonesing pretty bad here.

After 30 years of this.  here is my suggestion.
Don't use anything, just shovel. And/or broom.
Small brooms are available at Dollar General type stores.
Any chemical of this nature not only harms the pads, but also the surrounding turf.
Then you have mud around the tees in the warmer wetter times.
Sand is not bad, but has its own issues. As in weight and some salt content, and clings.

Peter is right. Rosedale was a rampant gay hookup park. The little fellers would climb out of the woods wondering what the hell we were doing, and did we need a date?.  Federales implemented that policy over 20 years ago. Way before scanners.
Apparently they are using the antiquated ordinance to pad their coffers at the expense of the players and the park community at large. The whole point is the gays were, mostly, chased off. Because of the players. Catch 22 all over again.
Oh yeah, and it's only incest if you have a baby.
So I am told from my Arkansas cousins.

Gay league tomorrow.

Swezy, I can partner up with you if you want to take on Swope.
It is probably the easiest of all our fine courses.
I thought it but did not want to take on full commitment.

Hole 19 & 20 is officially set though not functional.
Never seen a double pooper dropped by a crane before.
Awesome, now maybe I can get a date.

Lets go cards! Sorry.

This Friday P&R contractor will be setting the new prefab bathrooms bunker on Elmwood, in between the ball fields.
Point of history. This is the spot where a concesssion stand was many moons ago.
Hopefully they will keep up with maintenance on it.
