Has anyone played in the Pensacola/Gulf Shore area? Is there a course worth taking all my stuff to play at?

Thanks in advance.

Swope / Disc return

Will the disc return be emptied before the Wide Open?  I had someone pick up my disc before I could get down the fairway and pick it up.  I would really like it back before Saturday morning.

I need advice from anyone who has put on a fundraiser tournament. I have a friend that is going through a lot right now and really needs help. Are there permits I would need to get or just club/city approval to use a course? I'm not even sure she wants me to do this so right now any info would just be helpful advice for the future.

Has anyone seen this yet?

From the City of Liberty's website:

Disc golf course coming to Stocksdale Park

Disc golf is one of the fastest growing sports, requires very little equipment, and is suited to a wide variety of fitness levels. In the next year, the Liberty community will be able to enjoy a round in Stocksdale Park.

A new Parks Partners Program is designed to assist the Parks Division in developing new amenities by partnering with local businesses. In the case of the disc golf course project, interested local businesses can sponsor a hole for $500, which is roughly the cost to construct a tee box and install the basket that serves as a hole for the Frisbee®. Sponsors will be recognized on a sign at the tee box for their partnership in the project.

Local disc golf enthusiasts have assisted Liberty Parks and Recreation in the design of the course. Construction is expected to begin in the late spring. Anyone interested in sponsoring a hole along the course should email Chris Wilson -

Almost all of the trees on the left side of 7 and in front of 8 have been removed.  But on the other hand it looks like the water hazards are getting closer.
