Young Park - Blue Springs / Stepping up to run Blue Springs league
« on: March 08, 2013, 10:42:01 AM »
Would any of the league regulars be interested in helping with the 2013 season?  Experience is not necessary, and it's a good way to get involved in the club.

Let me know if you've got any questions!

Legacy Park - Lee's Summit / Stepping up to run Legacy league
« on: March 07, 2013, 09:54:30 AM »
Legacy has been a rotating group of league runners for a couple of years, but no one this year has been able to commit to doing it.  Would any of the league regulars be interested in helping with the 2013 season?  Experience is not necessary, and it's a good way to get involved in the club.

Let me know if you've got any questions!

Found and Lost / Lost Discmania FD Jackal
« on: August 14, 2012, 10:24:49 AM »
I left a max weight, custom stamped DiscGolfReview FD in the middle of 6's fairway last night at Cliff Drive.  It's orange with a white stamp, and has my name written on the back.  I would appreciate it's return with some sort of repayment.

General Banter / KCMO Ballot Issue: #1 - Please Vote August 7th!
« on: August 03, 2012, 12:54:09 PM »
Kansas City will have a crucial vote on August 7th.

Two issues will be on the ballot, one of which will affect Kansas City, Missouri’s parks system.  The 1st issue will remove 3 property taxes and a car tax, replacing it with a sales tax.  This will add approximately 3 million dollars to the parks department’s budget.

While the Kansas City Flying Disc Club does not have an official stance on the ballot issue, we believe everyone should vote on this upcoming ballot issue if they are eligible.  It will affect the parks that our membership plays disc golf in, and could affect any potential parks in the KC Metro we work to develop in the future.

Below are download links to 2 pamphlets that will hopefully explain any questions you have about the issues up for vote.

Thank you for your time.

Kansas City Flying Disc Club Treasurer

Swope / Wide Open Prep at Swope!
« on: May 24, 2012, 10:47:03 AM »
If you'd like to help over the next week, here's a list of things that we need to get finished.

1.  Trimming up the green on hole #13.
2.  Trimming up the left side of the fairway on hole #13.
3.  Trimming up the trees near the green on hole #12.
4.  Trimming up around the rock OBs so we can put string down.
5.  Planting a new pin on the 1st hole north of the course.
6.  Moving the pins into place.
7.  Painting the Road OBs.
8.  Painting the 10m circles (once grass is mowed).
9.  String the rope OBs (once grass is mowed).
10.  Putting down 2 flypads (once grass is mowed).
11.  Putting up new tee signs, mandos, and directional arrows (once grass is mowed).

I'll be out on Saturday to work on #12, #13, and the new pin placement.  I would love it if we could get people out on Sunday to help move pins.  I'm attempting to acquire a gator to help us (if you have one that would be awesome), otherwise a good group of people will make the job a lot easier!

If you are interested in helping, please let me know!

I was painting the OB on Swope Gold at league on Tuesday and left my Discmania C-FD in the OB.  It's got a custom Russian Open stamp on it.  Did anyone pick it up?

Water Works / Favor? Por Favor?
« on: May 18, 2012, 01:33:10 PM »
Could someone read the current distances of each of the holes at Waterworks off the tee sign for each hole and post them here?  I don't have time to get out there this weekend.

Thanks,
Chris

« on: March 27, 2012, 11:33:14 AM »
I threw my 2 year old beat in Star Discmania PD in the lake at the Kan-U-WyCo.  It's red in color, and has a custom stamped rainbow skull stamp.  I will gladly offer a reward to anyone who happens to find it!

Legacy Park - Lee's Summit / League Director Needed!
« on: March 16, 2012, 09:25:15 AM »
Jay won't be able to commit to being the league director this year, so the club is looking for someone to run league.  Experience is not necessary (it's not hard), but being there on a regular basis is.  Please let me know if you're interested!
