Prairie Center / 05-06-13 PC MINI

The first Summer league at Prairie Center was contested among twenty far flingin frisbee freaks in most excellent conditions. Temps near 70 and 5 mph breezes is how it was. 

No ACE was hit so with all in the fund increases to $295.

Dan Quinn renewed his dues on this night as well.

General Banter / stolen basket

The practice basket at Lakeside Hills has been stolen. There is a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the low life piece of sh1t that took it. It looks like the theft would be considered a class A misdemeanor, punishable by up to one year in the county jail.

Only ten players out. It was cloudy, but the round was played without being rained on. Temps in the low 60's with light SW winds around 9 mph is how it was. No ACE was hit, so with all in the fund increases to $54.

There were only eight players and one non-playin crip out on this Monday. The temps were in the mid 40's with North winds around 9mph.

No ACE was struck, so with all in the fund grows to $44.

Lakeside Hills / 04-01-13 LAKESIDE HILLS MINI

The first KCFDC organized event at Lakeside Hills happened on this date. Sunny, with temps in the mid 40's, and northeast winds at 10mph is how it was.

There were eighteen players out. No ACE was struck, so with all in the ACE fund is at $18.

It was announced that league will be at Lakeside Hills for the month of April. League will be at Prairie Center for the month of May. We will alternate between the two courses on a monthly basis.

If you are a forum admin, you must sign up by 5:00 and bring me some delicious beverages. I will Caddy your bag and drag around a cooler full of Hopslam and Whiskey.

It's entirely possible there will be ACE beverages there, courtesy of the last GLOW night ACER.

Prairie Center / 03-11-13 PC GLOW season finale

The 2012-2013 PC GLOW season came to an end on this night. It was  a cool, breezy eve with temps in the low 30's and winds around 9 mph.
I've run the weekly PC GLOW now for eight seasons, and it's been a lot of fun. We'll start it up again in October probably.

The first KCFDC Summer league in Olathe will be on Monday, April 1st at Birdland (Lakeside Hills). We will tee off at 5:30, so please be signed up by 5:15.

With all in the ACE fund was at $701 when Cade Garrelts flicked a shot from the short tee into the right basket on hole 2. Cade followed me home after the round and received $701 in cold, hard cash. He immediately peeled off $101 and returned it to the ACE fund, so when GLOW kicks off next Fall, there will be a good start. 

Thanks to Brian Taylor for helping run league this year, and to him and Mark Albers and Leevarn Sarvis for moving pins. I think they forgot to move hole 2 before the round though. 

I'll have some season stats to share in the next few days.

I hope everyone had fun this year!

Prairie Center / Last Olathe GLOW of 2012/2013 season

It will be more of a day/GLOW round, but since we were snowed out by the great blizzard of '13, I decided to extend the season one week, and will wrap it up tonight.

With that being stated, we also have the option of playing Birdland which is conveniently located just two miles from Prairie Center. If you are coming tonight, think about that option and be prepared to vote which course you want to play at 5:50 this evening. If the majority wants to migrate over to the Lake, we easily can, and still teed off by 6:05. I walked Birdland Friday afternoon, and for the most part it wasn't any sloshier than PC, and may actually be a little fimer and less muddy. It is more physically challenging however.
