Am headed to the San Fran area for a week in January (16-23), am really stoked about playing the courses around there.

DEF playin'  Golden Gate Park, Napa, Berkley and De Laveaga (quote, "This 27-hole mammoth course is full of hills and tree hazards." <-- BRING IT ON!!!).  Seriously pumped!  Then get back just in time for Ice Bowl!  Broken wrist be damned, I'm getting a LOT more golf in this year!

General Banter / Johnson County Parks home page
« on: June 09, 2009, 07:30:16 AM »
Was browsing for jobs this morning, and went to the Johnson County Parks page, and right there on the main page is a pic of some kids tossing discs at a basket!  Thought that was kinda cool.

Found and Lost / Lost yellow Odysey on 12 at Rosedale
« on: October 28, 2008, 03:58:22 PM »
*Sorry, posted this in Rosedale forum originally, moved here*

Hey all, if anyone finds a yellow Odysey on 12 please let me know.  It's got my name and number on it, *SHOULD* be readable.  Somehow I shanked it from 13 and I *THINK* it's in the open around the pin for 12, but for the life of me couldn't find it.  I guess it's time to get pink discs or something easier to find!
Thanks
Jason

Beginners / Tournament question(s)
« on: October 28, 2008, 07:26:18 AM »
Hey all, was wondering if someone could explain what the 6-6-6 format means?  I was thinking about playing the WyCo Halloween tournament, but I don't really understand what the 6-6-6 means and the 1-6 worst shot, 7-12 Alternate, and 13-18 Best.   From what I was reading in the WyCo forum, it seems that someone like me (marginally decent) would screw it up for a random picked (and much better) player.  I don't want to get in it if I am going to bring someone down or screw their score up.  I've not played Wyco either, I hope to get out there this week, but have been told it's about twice as hard as Rosedale, which I am playing fairly well now.  I say that, I'm playing about a 12 to 14 over (par 3) on Rosedale, so I don't know that I am "competition ready."  Anyway, if someone could explain the tournament format, or point me to a reference, I'd appreciate it.
Go Easy,
Jason

They mowed Rosedale this morning, might not make much difference after the rain, but played well (besides the wind!!) today.
