Rosedale / 2012's First LUNAR FULL MOONER !!! ****TONIGHT**** (2/6/12)

Come be a part of 2012's very first full moon glow round at Rosedale Park and the LUNAR FULL MOONER! We will meet at hole #1 right around 6:00 and tee off no later than 6:30.  The weather will be pleasant and clear for the most part (the clouds aren't supposed to move in until around 8pm) with temperatures hovering around 40 degrees.  Wear lots of layers and come prepared with lights, tape, and livations.  I will be headed down to DGW today sometime, so message me if you need me to pick you up some lights.  See you there!

Rosedale / Volunteer needed to run league on wednesday nights!

Hey everybody, rodney here. I recently aquired a new position at pf changs on the plaza and can't guarantee that I'll make it on time every wednesday.  I need someone to take over running league.  I absolutely loved helping out and doing my part to better disc golf in our community and am going to miss running it.  It's super easy, it doesn't cost you a dime, and you get a chance to meet a lot of really cool people along the way.  Please contact me or timko asap to inquire on the specifics.  Thank you!

Since the KCDGD's last weekend, my good friend Old Man Bob has helped out yet again with moving the pins and allowing us to have a "brand new" course to be played this week.  Thanks OMB!

Rosedale / 2011 League on Wednesdays!

Attention Disc Golfers:

Today (4/6/11) marks the first league at Rosedale park.  We will start at 5:30 SHARP until the sun starts setting later then we'll move to 6pm when the light permits.  NEW FEATURE ADDED THIS YEAR: After completion of the round, if you are a KCFDC member, we will be having a CTP contest for cool give-aways (hats, tshirts)!!!  Results will always be posted ASAP so keep checking back to keep up with who's winning at the city's most popular park.

General Banter / To Turbo Putt Or Not To Turbo Putt, That's The Question

Listen, I'm two years into my career in disc golf and need some thoughtful advice.  I have been trying to perfect the turbo putt for about a year now and personally believe that not only can I throw it more accurately with less roll-out, but i've gotten the form down to a T.  I am playing with the idea that an instructional video should be made with MY blueprint on how to throw the turbo putt consistently perfect.  Is there anybody out there that has been throwing the turbo putt for a long, long time and has some personal anecdotes and or secrets that they feel are extremely unique?

Rosedale / Innagural "Full Moon Glow" Round Set For TONIGHT!

FULL MOON GLOW kicks off this year at Rosedale at 9:30pm under a (according to moonphase.com) 98% full moon, calming winds and middle 70's temperatures!  Depending on the number of peeps that show up, we will either do random draw doubles or possibly singles.  If you do not have lights, there will be a limited amount on site for sale or use.  See you there!

Found and Lost / BRIGHT ORANGE MAKO(brand freakin new) lost on hole #4 up top at ROSIE

Hooked right and never had a chance. Looked for it for an hour almost.  When I left it was too dark to see.  No name, no number. I threw it three times. Damn.

Just got back from looking another hour for it in the rain with my rain gear on...no luck.

We were playing GLOW last night and it was my second shot.  The light went off when I threw it.  Landed somewhere down the hill and right of the hole.  That's my favorite disc. Please help me.
