Dick is planning on putting the WO funds to use in a way that benefits all players AND volunteers. A players party is great but only 20% of players come out (and it's expensive). Players usually want to get some rest before the last day of competition. Dick is being innovative here and we will see what the players and volunteers think after the fact. There'll be plenty of time for Monday morning quarter backs later.   :)

Sign up or volunteer! Please.

I'll be back the first of June and plan to start some work, coordinating with Dick, Mark, Kujo, and others. WW is our premier executive course for the WO, so it will get the love it needs soon.

Thanks for the heads up and attention to detail out there. If anyone heads out the clear up downed limbs in the meantime, please try to position them for erosion control as opposed to just throwing them haphazardly down a hill or in the woods. That would be GREAT! (read like you are Tony the tiger).

So just a heads up to the Advanced Old Guys; you can play Open Masters for cash. The pay out is not 50%, only 33%, but it is cash. Thanks to MK for doing a great job bringing some energy back to SMP.

Water Works / 4/30 Water Works League

Yours truly and Mike Fenton are running WW this week. Utz is out of town.  I'll do my best my to be there by 5:20.

This is the last week of rolling start. So if you want to get a card together and get out, sign up early and let us know.

With 51 players out at WW and only the third week, we all thank you Greg Utz. Running league well is some work. I couldn't believe Kujo was going to pull trash after league but hell ya, he  did. Thank you! He is correct!

Its guys like these that make Kansas City and her beautiful courses awesome for all of us. ?

On a side note, I love how English makes cities, rivers, and countries feminine. She's a real beaut.

Yeah, I have done it too. It's sure is fun to geek out with LED lights  ;) I think our current best weight to light solution is what we have got. I suggest only buying green or red LEDs as they disrupt your night vision less and last a long time. The green ones seem to last longer. Just an observation.

General Banter / Work Days in the next two weeks
« on: April 14, 2015, 11:45:25 am »
Are there any workdays planned in the next two weeks? I ask because the KC Star is doing an article on disc golf and is very interested in coming out to see what we do both in terms of leagues and workdays.

This is a great opportunity to shine!

I am thinking Patrick Smith, Doug Kheeler, Jack , Drew anyone have anything planned?

Yeah, I noticed the same thing Utz. No typos. Lots of folks who don't want to play up yet. I get it. They are more comfortable there. Come on out next week for another run at the aces. OR you could play for birdies like Shannon, smart, and take home the cash.

And thanks to Van for posting scores and running league.

Zeke Henry went in and out twice. Both hit the bottom of the basket. Rhino both times. I had one hit the nipples and bounce off the basket.

Shannon Carson played for two's and shot a smokin hot 42.

Thanks to all. It was a blast!

Remember that there will also be league qualifiers for those who don't play tournaments.  First league qualifier will be the week of the 18th.   Still finalizing which night.    I'll post ASAP.

Does that mean Saturday the 18th? Is the week before or after.

I only ask as I'll be out of town around that time.

I'm trying to get in on this thing ;D

Thank you to everyone involved. David and Nick did a great job. One of the best disc golf lunches ever for sure, and to see ten volunteers on the course with less than 60 players was cool.

I know of two missing scores only because Bowen came in a w/ a 46 and the best I could do was a 48. Jack kicked our butts the second round though. It was a fun course too. I think the wind made it funner  ???  ;D

If this happens again next year, you don't want to miss it.
