I would love an opportunity to work with someone on my form, drives have been tweaking my elbow and shoulder a lot recently. I have gotten around this by throwing softer. I think my drive doesn't need to much work though, just enough to stop doing damage to my elbow and shoulder.
What I really need to work on is ups and mostly putts. Any help would be appreciated. I would also love the ability to take what I have learned and pass it on to others.

I had a great time out at the "ace race" type league this week. I am actually thinking about trying to make it out to pHill more often, even though it is probably the farthest club course from my house.
As for the number of people who show up to different leagues regularly, don't you think that location and the amount of people already going have something to do with this? I've been hearing that the ace pools are getting pretty high at some of the weekday leagues. These are all perfectly good reasons for Rosie, Swope, and Works to have high league volume. The only reason I made the pHill league was because I camped out there the night before, and I am very thankful that I made it. The people I met were, over all, much more enjoyable to be around than the random groupings you get in the bigger leagues.

Congrats! I'm pretty sure most of my best rounds at any area course are above par. I still feel good shooting plastic just as much. KEEP PLAYING WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE BETTER THAN YOU IF YOU CAN! This can show you a number of things about throwing and the game of golf. And keep practicing. I don't have as much time for full rounds as I used to, but I still try and take a few hours a week at least to practice various throws. My distance has gotten better and my putting is slowly improving from practicing off of the course.

Although I technically started with disc golf, I took ultimate seriously first. My first time out at a course was when I was 5 or 6. My dad and I would get out a couple times a year. When I was in high school we had an ultimate club that would play upwards of 3 times a week. I did that for all four years. I haven't had the chance to get into freestyle yet, but would love to. Speaking of which, is there anyone in the club who would be willing to share some knowledge/teach me freestyle? It looks like a blast.
All together, I would say that playing both ultimate and disc golf has brought improvement to both the games for me. I can now "pull" the length of the field, and wouldn't have learned to hammer or forehand near as well without a lid to do so. Golf helped me control the lids and understand how to play in windier conditions. Ultimate widened my shot options and has helped me plenty of times when my drives put me in the woods.
I currently play in a recreational ultimate league once a week. My team is now 3 and 1. If my schedule changes I may try and get into the KC league, but that will be a tough decision as I will also be able to make the KCFDC leagues.

I got a chance to meet a traveling disc golfer by the name of Dana. He is trying to raise funds so that he can play in the worlds this year in memory of his aunt and mother who lost their battle with cancer. His website is http://dg4pm.com/. Anyone who can should take a look at this. He is looking for pledges per throw or flat donations. He even has a couple Vibram high speed drivers that are going to be raffled off through the site as well.
As supportive as KCFDC members are I figured we could at least help spread the word for this cause.
