A big special THANK YOU to Beckett Carduff who came out yesterday all day and did some more major removal on the honeysuckle, and removed a ton (ok not a ton, but at least 5 trash bags worth) of old cans that had made its way down the area we are looking to reclaim.

According to Jack, there was a group of neighborhood volunteers working on the east end of the park. Do keep in mind that there is more to Kessler Park than just the disc golf course as far as the neighbors are concerned. Seven guys working on the course was great a good turnout for any Cliff Drive workday.

Okay so I ended up making the work day after all, and the Redwings beat the Blackhawks 4-1 to tie their series up at a game apiece.

Jack, I'm sorry but I won't be making this workday nor the following day at Water Works. They offered me OT at the job all weekend and I really need to catch up on lost funds. Just can't do it this time bro.

Possibly, I do have to go and grab the girls though, but they can enjoy the Blue Line with dad just as much, and probably enjoy the backlash of father daughter hatred for the other's team..

I would propose that when the thieves are caught, their names are made known to the KCFDC membership, and they are banned from any KCFDC league or event for life. I believe the PDGA disciplinary folks could be persuaded to also ban them from participating in any PDGA events for a period of time as well. I doubt the low- lifes that stole our basket(s) care about any of this, but maybe?

It was only a matter of time! I myself have had the "Wouldn't it be cool..." thought about a DG course throughout the ghetto as I've driven through there in the past. Next time I go, I'll try to get a picture of Jane Laskey park, which has 3' tall grass and some bent-over Innova baskets. It's quite post-apocalyptic looking.

The things that I find interesting about this matter is the newness of the course and the suspected means by which it was removed from its location.  The location itself is fairly obvious and with all of the precipitation was there any indication of a disturbed area, footprints, digging, etc.?  Then the recent blacklisting of the website with Google also sparks some curiosity.

Something about the speculation around that lock being picked just does not add up to me.

Thinking the Google blacklisting connection might be a bit of a stretch, but I'm with ya on the lock picking thing. I think someone either F'ed up and didn't close the lock properly, or it's an inside job like 9/11 only less serious.

Everything seems fine from my Android phone, but I was getting a malware warning with every click when I got on here from the iMac this morning.
