Tournaments / 5th Annual New Years Day Triples
« on: September 19, 2016, 04:30:17 PM »
It's almost that time once again for the 5th annual NEW YEARS DAY random draw triples. Last year we had 121 people out at Rosedale Park on a wonderful New Years Day. This year we will be returning to SWOPE and hope to top well over 121 people. $5 buy in and will payout 100%. Last year I believe I paid out 10 teams plus Pete Cashen at Dynamic Discs of KC donated 3 Marksmen baskets for the winning team. Start time is HIGH NOON JANUARY 1st... More information will be posted here and on KCFDC. We have NOT locked down our beer sponsor for this year so if you would like to be please let me know.  Be there or be square... You can't be both, see you January 1st at HIGH NOON!!!!! This is 100% cash payout!!!!!!

What a great turn out. We had 121 people signed up to create 40 teams of triples. I want to thank Michael Van Heel for signing everyone up and taking money for DD bag tags. Might have to get more beer next year... The winning team was Loomis, Josh, and JT with a 40. Two teams tied for second and third with a 43, I would post everyone's name who attended but Josh Harvey has my list... Thanks to FTL for providing their ace fund, no one hit it but now the FTL ace fund got doubled for next Friday...Thanks to Peter J Cashen for donating 3 DD Marksman baskets to the three winners, and we also had two disc donated by Nate Zier and KCFDC for CTP prizes won by David Valdiviez and I can't remember who won the second one sorry. I want to thank everyone for coming out I was overwhelmed that 121 showed up and I hope everyone had a good time. Next year we will have more sponsors and prizes to make this event even bigger and better. Did I mention we might have to get more beer next year....Next YEAR we will be returning to Swope... Anyway Thank You again and I hope to see everyone @ Swope 1-1-17 @ HIGH NOON.....

It looks like the weather is going to be clear and in the 20's, I'm on the fence about the final 9 with it being so cold and having people waiting around. I will make that decision on the day of. Hope to see you all there.

Agreed Jordan.  Earlier is better, but  I meant calling or emailing last night when the registration closed on disc golf scene an hour early.  The use of disc golf scene is new for Scott, so I imagine that he would have been understanding to get a message at 1100 last night.

There may, or may not, be some heckling going on on hole 14!
how about a lemonade stand. Think of all the money you, dixon and fox could make.
We don't do lemonade stands, just beer stands.
