If returned, disc of choice from DDKC or case of beer.

Uh ok.  Jack's piping in his "AM" comments.

"Uh, Jack.  I didn't hear you last night. Sound carries well @ WW." ;)

Is that an assumption you done well, despite all the Mando's and OB? I hope you did.

With all that said, I can't wait for the tournament.

BIRDIE ON THAT NOTE too from Steeler too.

"Thank You" to all involved in setting up the course, printing out the layouts and holding the event last night.  Luv'd playing hole "B", 4 to 5 "long",  7 to over "10", and especially 17 to 18 "on the hill." I'm gonna 4 that hole.

There isn't anything wrong playing "Safari" in a tourney. It's a challenge I luv.

Luv'd the course layout yesterday.  Keep it as it is please.  Luved the Mando's and OB.  The course is set up well enough in advance of the tourney so there isn't any reason why one can't practice before MAC, even if some of the baskets are not set.  One doesn't need a basket there to practice a drive up to the pin setting.

I can't believe I went OB twice and MANDO twice.  That killed my score, a temporarily demoralizing 74.  But my putts were ON!!!  Right Jamie?  I'll fix the Mando's and OB this weekend.  Going back for a rematch.

Nice shooting Jamie and way to stay OB free Ted.  Sherwood, we have some "improvement" to do. ;)

but what about across the street on the backside of hole 12's peninsula green?  Tis the question:  WAS TANK OB OR NOT?!?!?!

From how I read it, NOT, because of 804.04 Out-of-Bounds A and B.

A - A disc is out-of-bounds if its position is clearly and completely surrounded by an out-of-bounds area. (There is no OB area marked.)

B - The out-of-bounds line is part of the out-of-bounds area. (There are no OB lines to be seen.  Grass all the around the pavement is safe.)

http://www.pdga.com/rules/official-rules-disc-golf/804-the-throw/80404-out-of-bounds

definition of Out-of-bounds
An area designated by the Director from which a disc may not be played, and within which a stance may not be taken. The out-of-bounds line extends a plane vertically upward and downward. The out-of-bounds line is part of the out-of-bounds area.

"Great throw Tank."

Why'd the price go up?

Any plans in the near future to relocate some pins?

If you don't want to drive between courses and have time to make it up to Smithville, play the three courses up there that wrap around Smithville Lake.  They are AMAZING courses and will certainly live up the expectations you have for Kansas City Disc Golf.  Enjoy!

Beaver Creek - White Course, Par 56.  (A great warm up course)
Immediately after the guard shack, turn right on Beach Road and then your first left onto Shelter road. Stay to the right hook and drive to Shelter one.

Black Thorn - Blue Course, Par 56-60.  (Woods are awesome)
After the guard shack take your first right and head toward Shelter 2. The first hole is just North of the parking lot shooting down the hill.

Woodhenge - Yellow Course, Par 62-65.  (Time to arm it out and enjoy the lake views)
After the guard shack continue forward (left at the first fork) and go to the marina. The first hole starts down the hill behind the bathroom on the north side of the back parking lot.

Note: At the bottom of each basket is a pointer to the next tee-pad.
$5 fee for each vehicle entry.

Local Directions: 169 North to 180th Street
Go East, the only way you can turn and stay straight (DO NOT CURVE LEFT ON F) until you enter in to Little Platte Park.  Enter at the guard shack.

Maybe you should check the 2013 year Steeler.  That's when RamNSalmon was played at PC and Old Settlers was played at PC/Birdland.  This is 2014 making 2013 the most recent - get with the times!

Dub's Dub's Dub's. Don't cha get it?

2013 Ram 'n Salmon was Triples and 2013 Ole Settler's was Singles.

Was wondering if there was going to be a Ram 'n Salmon Event this year (not on the club calendar "yet" - http://kcfdc.org/events-2/tournaments/ ), and if it is to be held, will it be a Dub's Event?

It's interesting to notice, the 2014 Ole Settler's isn't listed on the PDGA Event yet, nor is on DD's Tourney Schedule.

Yeah then the following weekend hold a tournament at Birdland and Prairie Center.  We can call it the Lakeside Center Uppity Chuck.

What happened to the Ram 'n Salmon?  Would be a great series for PC/Birdland.

Called Old Settlers, Labor Day weekend every year.

Can we ban this Steeler fan, until he starts to get with the times?

You are incorrect white mccoy

The 2012 Ram 'n Salmon was a non-PDGA Doubles Event and that is what I'm inquiring about again, Doubles at PC/Birdland.

Plan on Lenexa for the next one...Sar-Ko-Par Trails park on 87th Street, just east of Lackman.  If you have not been there yet, trust me, it is the best park for Super-class....and I guarantee there will be an Ace hit.

Go check it out!

The City of Lenexa, KS recently installed a new 9-hole disc golf course at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park, on the east side of the pool/north of the skate park. Each hole has A/B options.

The map of the course is available in PDF here: http://www.lenexa.com/Assets/departm...verviewmap.pdf

Fun 9-hole for the lil one's learning.  Just watch out for the basket's by the trail.  There are a lot of walkers using the trail.   This is a very, VERY short course!  Only 9 holes about 1500 feet.  Just bring a putter.   ;)

No markings on disc.  Name the make and model and it may be yours.  Thank you.

Planning on it.  The Peoria courses are great!

IMPRESSIVE !!!  Way to go sponsors... !

2014 Ledgestone Insurance Open

The amount of added cash to the pro divisions will be huge. It will rival some of the largest tournaments in the world and will surpass some National Tour events. We are happy to announce that we will add $12,000 to the Pro Purse for the 2014 Tournament!

The Amateur player's pack will also be on the most valuable in the country. The player's pack for this year's tournament will include 5 discs, a custom hat, a dri-fit shirt, a towel, mini, stickers, free entry to the player's party, free entry to the ice cream social and other goodies.

No money will come out of the Amateur entry fees to pay for the player's pack or tournament expenses. You heard that right! This tournament can boast a monster player's pack and a monster payout. We would expect first place in MA1 to take home over $300 in merchandise money.

We will once again have amazing trophies for the top finishers, notably called the Ledgestone Cup.

This event will be a National Tour Event for the Pros in 2015.

Where is it scheduled to be played? Who is putting it together? I can't find any info. on this tourney.

hmmmm....Where do you think it would be played?  Somewhere related to water maybe...

When:
July 18, 2014 July 19, 2014 all-day

Where:
Waterworks Park
Kansas City,MO
United States

The date noted is "likely" incorrect.  July 18th is a Friday.

The event is "not" on July's PDGA Event list yet nor on DD's Tournament Schedule, but if memory serves me correctly, this usually is a non-PDGA sanctioned, locally sponsored event.  Right?
