It's scheduled again at 4:30 pm on Thursday, 1:00 pm & 1:30 pm on Saturday, and Noon on Sunday.

Anyone else see the release by the pdga that this network will have coverage of the Memoral and it will air on metro sport Mon the 20 at 11p?

A billfold belonging to Leighton McFerren was found today in #9's basket by Earl Johansen. Earl tried returning it the address on Leighton's drivers license, but he has moved. Contact Leighton can contact DGW for Earl's phone

Hello~ If you pay in one of our partner stores, the online fee ($1.00) is waived. $20 for a year, new or renewal, and bag tags are always $5.

That is if payment is with cash or check. We ding a buck at DGW for payment by bank card. I would guess that DD does does also.

Yes, it's Ice Bowl, and it's casual, but there's nothing wrong with accuracy. I took a close look at both the scoreboard cards and the scorecards, and found a few scores that had not been entered, some scores that I punched in incorrectly, and some names that were misspelled. Please let me know of any other inaccuracies.

Our updated body count includes 384 players, staff, and contributors with 211 who played both rounds, 99 who played one round, and 74 others. We're still accepting donations or selling packages at Disc Golf World. Our donation to Harvesters and Bishop Sullivan is currently right around $6300.

Here a long list of most the people who made the KC Ice Bowl possible. We're down about 65 people from last year. The final donation number to be announced as the deadline for pledge sheets is this weekend. Right now we're in the the $6000-$6500 range. Not too shabby.

It's not too late to add your name to the list by making a donation!

Registrations are running a bit behind last year, when we ended up tracking 408 contributors to the Ice Bowl. The best way to sign up is to visit Disc Golf World because you can pick up your player's package disc and mini set, as well as purchasing clothing, other plastic, CTP tickets, and mulligans. All purchases enhance our charitable donations.

 If you can't make it to DGW, you can call 816.471.3472 and register with a bank card. Or you can fill in your registration form and mail it, along with a check to 509 E 18th St, KCMO 64108. Or you could fill at an entry and then scan it with payment information to icebowl@discgolfworld.com. Or you can fax your entry to 816.471.4653. In these cases, you will pick up your schwag at the Ice Bowl, unless you want to stop by to pick it up earlier.

Ice Bowl in KC is more about celebrating our disc golf community while helping those less fortunate than us than a significant competition. However, we do want as many people to play at least one round, and hopefully both rounds. This is how it works. You need to post an 18-hole score to qualify to play the second round. You can play your 18 hole round on Saturday morning around 9:30 or Saturday afternoon around 1:00 pm. (These times will be finalized.) There will be shot-gun starts for Saturday rounds. Groups will be limited to six per tee. The TD, Ben Crosby, will do his best to accommodate your requests to play with your buds. You can also play your first round on Sunday morning by forming your own group of 5 players and teeing off no later than 10 pm. (You need to get your scorecard turned in by 12:30 pm if you want to be included in the 9-hole round.) Mulligans can be purchased for use during the first round only. Their use is highly encouraged!

Cards are determined for the second round by ranking players by their scores from the first round. This means that you'll likely be very closely matched (or at least have very similar scores) with others on your card. Players will be told which nine holes to play (top 1-9, top 10-18, DU 1-9, DU 10-18),  and the player on each card with the best total score wins a DX disc. The person with the very best overall scores get to keep the traveling trophy for a year. General Banter / Re: Dynamic Discs

I can confirm that Latitude 64° will be making discs, branded with DD. This should be forthcoming within two weeks. The discs will be distributed primarily by Latitude 64, who will add them to their order form along with their discs and Westside Discs. Part of the branding will be the DD logo imprinted on the underside of the disc. I've heard that the discs will be similar to a Buzzz, Wizard, Destroyer and Teebird, but this is not confirmed.

DD is releasing their own Driver fairly soon, conjecture is that Latitude 64 is doing the molding.

Yes, 2013 tags are availble at DGW. I think they are closing a lil earlier now that Daylight Savings time happened.

Yeah, our winter hours have us closing at 5 pm on weekdays, but we will often be here later than that. If you can't make it before 5, give us a call.

Thanks to the 88 players who participated in the 16th Annual Rosedale Amateur Championships. I was very proud of the effort expended by almost everybody, especially during the first round when the winds were steady from 12 to 24 mph, with at least four of five gusts that pushed 35 mph. For the many first timers, nearly half of the field, it was definitely a baptism of wind. As the scores show, even experience players found the wind to be troubling.

Other thank yous go the Bob Ward for getting the course set before the tournament and then moving it shorter for the second round. Thanks also to John "JP3" Park for helping with the scorecards. In addition,  thanks to the many people who helped in other ways such as checking scorecards, helping to get us going in the morning, and closing things down in the afternoon. Thanks to Fred Smith, CD Steiner, Dick Parker, and Cooper Arnold for coming out during the second round to offer advice, which I was glad to hear helped some of our players. And finally, a big shout-out to our sponsors, Duffy Carduff of Eagle Products, Peter Engelman of the West Plaza Tomato Company, the Kansas City Flying Disc Club, and Innova Disc Golf. Your help enhanced the tournament experience for all.

It took four extra holes before Steve Thimmesch became the Am 1 race was decided. After the 36 holes of the tourney, Steve and Lee Killian were tied at 104. After the first round, Steve, buoyed by the only ace of the day on number 3 (short right) led by two over Lee and Jeff Campbell. Lee's was the medalist in the second round with a 47. Jeff ended up third, three down.

Brandon Deerr took the first round lead in Am 2 with a 62, one better than eventual champion Ben Patterson. Ben, the Am 3 champion at the 2011 RAC, shot 55 during the second round to edge Joe Pavlecich and Brandon by one throw.

In the huge Am 3 division of 33 players, 18-year-old Tyler Mattoon, playing in his first tournament, shot both rounds under 60 (59-53)  to win decisively by six throws over Andy Portwood. Four throws further down was Corey Owens, who edged Jed Baughman and Chris Blevins by one and two throws, respectively. All these men won trophies.

Jason Hern was eight throws better than Joe Teater in the Am 4 division. RAC veteran Bob Slonka got hot during the second round, shooting 51, to erase a two throw deficit to win by two over defending champion Eric Garberg. In the battle of the grand masters (old guys), Bob Ward, brokered his "volunteer karma" to win convincingly by six over Dennis Smith.

In the Junior division for boys under 16, Caleb Bell fashioned an impressive 18-throw win over twin brother, Cameron, and three other players. This was the largest junior field ever in RAC history. In the ring of fire prize giveaway, Eddie Colbert won the Innova DISCatcher Sport Model. Besides winning his division, Steve Thimmesch also took home $132 for his ace.

On a somber note, best wishes go out to Bill Hecht for a speedy recovery. Bill was feeling slightly ill and very weak during the first round, causing him to withdraw. He eventually visited his doctor, and found out he had suffered a mild heart attack.

Eric, I know you're ready to get this moving, but delaying one week, and letting people order at the Club Elections Meeting on October 27 might produce a few more pre-orders.

I'm going to be taking final orders for KCFDC apparel at the club championships.  I need to get to at least a minimum of 50 shirts or the order won't happen.  I will leave out order sheets for you to fill out and then I will accept payment for what's been ordered after the rounds on both Sat and Sunday.

Dick, is it alright for me to leave the order sheets at your sign up table before each round?

Obviously I will accept cash for payment and If I have good cell phone reception i should be able to accept credit card payments.  I will have to charge an additional 2.75% for the amount.  See you this weekend.  Eric

Thanks to Bob Ward, it is set. The second round will be shorter with 4-6 holes moved...1, 4, 8, and 18 for sure.

Is Rosedale currently set for the first round? I assume it will be by Saturday, which is when I'll first be able to practice anyway.
