Seventeen players out on a super nice Fall evening. Temps in the 50s and zero wind made for a good round, except for it being dark. There was a big moon and we played two safari holes too.

No ACE was hit so with 18 getting in the fund grows to $412.

Steve Thimmesch & Anthony Puryear         49 for $44
Bryan Guthrie & Andy Lewis                     51 for $30
Tom Butler & Deano                                 52 for $8
Brian Taylor & Dub Cali Brian                    52 for $8
Tom Palmer & Greg Seher                         53
Dan Zink & Leevarn Sarvis                        55
Justin Lowe & Cade Garrelts                      56
Caleb Bachman & Clint Zugelder                58
Rob Haney & Harold Berciunas                   58

Come out for some serious GLOW DG on the Prairie. Please bring small bills and be signed up in time for a 6:00 sharp partner draw.

Happy Turkey Day everyone! Remember to reflect on how good we have it, and especially how good the golf is here in KC !   8)

This was round #5. A heavy mist enveloped us as we drew partners and continued for the first four holes, when it turned into what we thought might be a round killer. instead it quit completely after about 5 minutes, and the rest of the night was real nice. No ACE was hit by any of the eight players so the fund grew to $394.

Tom Butler & Leevarn Sarvis         51 for $20
Dan Zink & Brian Taylor               51 for $20
Harold Berciunas & Cade Garrelts  55
Rob Haney & Greg Seher             59

Come out for GLOW fun.

Of course we can't predict the weather, but freezing rain and no large shelter might be a bummer. ???

Freezing rain and playing down under is more of a bummer.

No arguments with that... I have had to do it multiple times on the lead card(s) at past ice bowls and it can be treachourous. Maybe a big tent like at the wide open could protect the chili at swope..

Super nice fall weather for our third week of GLOW, and with the time shift the day prior, it was a full 18 holes of dark walking. We played the old #1 tee box, and hole 17 to the practice basket as a twist. We'll prolly do a few holes like that occasionally, so expect the unexpected.

No ACE was hit (almost though), so with all 10 in the fund increases to $376.

I still have lights and tape available, and the weather looks good again, so come on out.

Tom Butler & Deano                    50 for $25
Brian Taylor & Bryan Guthrie        50 for $25
Cade Garrelts & Caleb Bachman   52
G$ & Dan Zink                           53
Anthony Puryear & Mark Schmitz  53

As we have every Monday in the Fall/Winter for the past 10 years we gathered at the PC shelter house, duct taped some LEDS on our frisbees, drew partners from a deck of cards, and played some golf. It was warm, dry, and light breezes, which allowed all teams to shoot below par. The ACE fund carryover from last year was $340, and with all 13 and a double Cali in, the fund increased to $354.

Steve Thimmesch & Brian Corneilius     47 for $42
Tom Butler & Cade Garrelts                 50 for $28
Brian Taylor & Caleb Bachman             52
Bryan Guthrie & Cali Bryan                 52
Deano & Dan Zink                             53
Anthony Puryear & Greg Seher            53
Andy Lewis & Rob Haney                    54

This is the first tournament i'll have played before and i had a question that i'm hoping someone can answer for me. My girlfriend was wanting to come out and watch the tourney but i didn't know if she did whether she could walk the courses with me or if she would have to be somewhere else as a spectator? Do alot of people come out just to watch these kinds of things?

I would have her carry the bag... ;D

I think with you running it, a Winter Saturday KCFDC league would be successful . I also think the board would be glad to have you run a Winter league. The only issues I could forsee is that Winter weather time is always coldest in the mornings, and as I mentioned, paying out cash to all divisions is tricky. I think if you ra n a kcfdc league just as you ran the Summer league you  would continue to draw good crowds. Your efforts and time are much appreciated. Rather than attempting to run a league early on Saturdays, I would go for the optimum temperature hours, like starting at 12:30 to 1:00. Folks could have a choice of your fine singles league, or D.U.
