From the pairings I'm seeing in the Open division, it looks like this could be a good opportunity to do some 'spectatin''  8)

Got my weeks messed up, so, I guess we won't be able to make it.  I forgot I was already signed up for the Fore Fathers Fling in Derby, KS that weekend.  ;D

Just looked at this online, and are you sure you have Pete Cashen, and Marc Wisbey in the right division?  Just sayin'....lol  ;D

I noticed TallGuy shot almost 50 pts over his rating!

And it should have been better than that...lol  I also managed to screw the whole thing up the next two rounds as well.

Thanks Stevo.  I really appreciate that, and I know she will to.  I'll make sure she sees this later today when I get home.  I just also want to say once again, there wasn't any issue with DD, or anything else.  I was just blown away at the blatant abuse she had to endure after the fact, and I should have had her go to the TD to get that under control.  We just didn't want it to turn in to the "He said/She said" type of situation, although, we know better now.

Can't get rid of the weeds, if ya' don't know where they are.  8)

Thanks again!

Wichita should have their tourneys going again this year, just haven't seen anything posted about them yet.

Derby Fore Father's Fling - April 11th

Ahh...yep, that's a fun one right there.  Love me some Derby, and Crispin puts on a good show as well.

Good stuff from everyone here...lol  The going to the TD was my thinking after the fact, but, was a bit unsure at first, not knowing the full extent of what was happening at the time.  A few bad apples definitely make for a crappy experience for sure.  It's my second Texas tourney, and while they were fun, there is a VERY different feel to them.  Almost like, unless your name is McBeth, Wysocki, etc.., the "welcome feeling" is just weird.  Not saying it's everyone, as there are some folks there that I know that are just fine, but, man.....

I wonder if you spin a Pink Floyd album backwards, it actually tells you to "Build up the wall! Build up the wall!"  ;D

I should also note, that the tournament itself was run really well as a whole.  There was just this hiccup, and pretty sure that they aren't even aware of it.

Yeah, this was in the Dallas area.  Bet ya' can't figure out which one that was...lol  I let her know that that's just not the norm, and they were in it for the plastic, good 'ole boy style.  I asked her if they were doing the "Are you sure?", but she assured me it was more of a "No.  You didn't shoot that.  You took a 7 there..."  that kind of thing.  Just sucks that they just didn't give a flyin' rip.  I let her know that next time, she'll play in KC, and she won't be disappointed.   8)

It just totally threw me for a loop at the lack of "givin' a crap" that they gave.
