« on: December 10, 2008, 04:24:52 PM »
boy do I like the line up for my 1st yr as a master (am at whirrleds)
but that's very close to the time we'll be packin up our life to move x-country
local tourney on 1/3, will I take cash or not in the pro master div? will I play well enough to have that choice?
anyway, seeing the lineup and the schedule def has me scheming to go see you guys at the biggest golf party of the summer...

nice work fellas, congrats to you both
I've had two in tournies now and they don't add up to half of what you each took...
glad to see it was longtime leaguers and not someone blowing through next week at wide open time
cheers!

Bag Tags / Re: 2007 What number ya got?
« on: April 19, 2007, 01:45:33 PM »
we've played the tags thru doubles a couple ways
_on our pro/am league (upper players teamed with newer/rec players) its usually only the uppers with tags so we'll just put 'em on the line based on the dubs score- which still leaves lots to chance but each tagger is still 50% of his team so its somewhat fair (and our tag tourney isn't til october- might as well spice things up...)
_if all four on a dubs card have tags the top team takes the lower two tags- whoever had lower per team gets the lower of the pair awarded to the team...

quite an ethic of gamblin up here in mishygan too so the golf bag now gets all my change for playin skins or score or both or ript in singles or doubles etc...
our CCRleague tags (lansing) are dogtag sized and colorcoded with #1gold, 2-10green, 11-20(30?)red, all higher #'s black I think...

I still have an old KC tag from when brad did 'em back in 03 or somethin- he still around?...

Tournaments / Re: 2007 Redbud Open
« on: April 18, 2007, 01:11:55 PM »
I played in 03 I believe (2nd annual...)
still use the CTP umbrella I got lucky and won, still have the Tshirt and blue glass trophyPlate too...
I remember it bein a tough and thickly treed course- fun times...

a great piece of land with a fair but challenging layout and a managable amount of players seems like the antithesis of the recent BowlinGreenAmClusterships huh rick ;)
great to catch up with you there, good on ya for keepin the faith with events like these

Winter Leagues / Re: 11/23 and 11/30 Water Works Glow
« on: December 04, 2006, 01:58:38 AM »
and so another glow season is upon us... good times

having more trouble than ever with the LEDs- the new ones have a twist operation that seems very apt to turn off and it makes operating them difficult (I carried a needlenose pliers for awhile)... just wondered if you'd seen similar problems at all... its enough that I've gone back to the lil break'n shakes with clear duct tape over the whole thing- plenty of light and it never turns off... anyway I see the LEDs out there marketed to DG too- don't know if they're twist or pull though....?

anyway happy GLOW golf to all down KC way!

not often you see a tourney with even par as the hot open score- I gather the courses &/or conditions were challenging...

good showing KC people

thanks for all the updates ted, love to catch up on the KC & WW scene (save WW!)
great people, great league(s), great park(s)...

still waiting 'til june to get the summer "singles" league fired up here (lansing, mich), but for now 5buck dubs twice a week and lotsa sanctioned events around the state- cuz gas & tourneys are so cheap and my game is so tight

love to play some of the new pins at WW. They NEVER move the baskets here for fear of theft by relying on a padlock I guess.. oh well its still a fun course if a tad-er... way overcrowded with partygolfer types esp. early season nice afternoons.

but you already knew you were spoilt, dintcha?
just show up, pay n play then see who cashes, what a concept...
here I guess we play all summer (12wks, $30) for overall points by some kind of matchplay type format which might be kewl, we'll see... most fun wins right?

HEY! to all my KC homies, I'll be back for a visit someday....

General Banter / What's in your Bag?
« on: October 28, 2005, 07:44:42 AM »
I now have a pro wraith and a cfr (candy-type) wraith in my bag, they are fast and stable, slightly more so than my champ orc... my cfr is lighter (172) so its been easier to put out there on an annie line and have it predictably flex back... my starfires are much more like my sidewinder, throw them with some hyzer and they will flip up to flat and glide a long way, my sidewinder seems more predictable so the starfires are not in the bag now- though playing around at home I find them to be good roller discs...
more wraith info here- think I linked it right
