There are at least a dozen still up there by the picnic tables as of Sunday. Most of them still have the top on them though.

General Banter / Re: Best Courses after/during rain in the KC area
« on: March 04, 2016, 01:54:34 PM »
Rosedale is the biggest mess in the rain, Cliff drive can be pretty bad on the front nine when it rains, there are some steep hills that get pretty washed out. The olathe courses seem to handle the rain well. Birdland is pretty new so there are not a lot of mud patches that form there like some of the busier courses (rosedale, Shawnee mission park).

Birdland is pretty far south but most definitely worth the trip. There are 2 other courses out that way if you have time for 2. Heritage park is new and doesn't have tee pads. Prairie Center is a decent play if there is not crowds in the non disc golf areas.

Have fun, we are spoiled here.

Here are the scores. We had 112 go through the up-top version and another 19 went down under for 131 total scores for the day.
Once it got going went pretty smooth. Scores were hot as rosedale was ripe for a handful of mulligans.

Had some good help, thanks to everyone who came out, and yes Arturro shot an -18.

62 preregistered for tomorrow morning. Please check in when you arrive so you can be placed on a card. Showing up early is your best bet for getting optimal card placement. We will start at or near 10.

Rosedale Ice Bowl Satellite will be held Saturday January 30th at 10am.

Not sure how busy it will be as this day in the past has been pretty crazy.

Remember it is a shotgun start and probably will be limited to 5 somes unless we have a big turnout. I despise long rounds so I may let the cards go up to 6 but that would be it. I've been stuck behind enough monster cards at rosie that I'm not gonna go that route on this day.

That's only 108 people though so sign up early. Any early sign ups will be given priority on setting up cards. I can be flexible but only to a point. If you show up at 945 and ask to be put on someone's card I will probably laugh in your face.

Worst case people may get sent down under, but that would be a decision made the day of and not before.

I'll do my best to get everyone on the course. Lets remember what this is all about.
Mulligans, oh wait and supporting a good cause.

I'll get the course set up posted soon, but shouldn't be much of a surprise. Rosie short, better get your forehand ready if you aren't a lefty.

Ha, Didn't realize this was for liberty. Same info on time probably applies here though.

Hope both locations have a good turnout, anyone who can't make those i'll see at rosedale on Saturday the 30th.

I would guess somewhere in the middle. Andy said they didn't get that big a turnout in olathe last year, and its gonna be cold. So the course will not be that full, but when you're on a card and everyone has a ton of mulligans it can slow things down.

The olathe crew always puts on a great show with any event. I'm not gonna miss it and I hope there is a good showing out there. Don't be scared folks.

45 throws with normal plastic will be nothing after throwing a lit up 200 gram zephyr for 2 hours!!!

I just read most of this discussion while on an extended break on the toilet. And that's about all I can add because I just flushed the rest of it down.
