So okay, I was wrong.  Joe has been named captain for the last 3 and not last 4 wins.  And a ratings update came out today so I updated those and I added the total # of tourneys competed in 2016.  This includes recent tourneys but I excluded PDGA leagues.
West Side total of 120 tourneys completed in 2016 and East Side 52

More tournaments period.

drop mike   mic and exit stage left.

Here's the data.  West should win based on ratings.  But those aren't everything and east-side needed only 3.5 matches out of a total of 32 competed.

Here is my explanation of the last 4 years and it's not about ratings, but it may be indirectly resulted from that data.   West side has more players that play in PDGA tournaments.  East side has 5 players that are not current in the PDGA and don't play in tournaments (marked as *).  Also, I know myself and Mike Murphy have played in only 1 tournament (each) this year.  East side that's not enough.  We need to play more tournaments.

The other reason that I think the west side has won the last 4 is that Joe H. has had 4 years of setting up these matches and has the most experience doing it.  The east side has had a new captain each year.

And finally, Thanks Joe and Zeke.  You guys did great.

For the Raymore satellite event, registration will be setup by the tennis courts, which is near hole #6.  The parking lot there is much bigger and easier to drive over to back 9 for shotgun start.  From the parking lot by hole #1, just continue north on Madison St andd enter that part of Recreation Park at the round-a-bout and you should find us very easily.    Or you could park by 1 (until if fills up) and play 1 -3 and then head to the tennis courts.  If anyone has any questions, please give me a call at 816-289-9151.  See you all on Saturday!

Rosedale / Re: Rosedale Redesign

Excellent work.  Looks great.  I can't wait to play it.

I said that a month ago, which was when it was last mowed on the back 9.  It's pretty shaggy right now. With all the rain, P&R hasn't been able to mow.  I would recommend waiting a few weeks until they can catch up.

Wait, there's a league at Rosedale?

General Banter / Re: Belton Course
« on: April 01, 2015, 08:55:20 pm »
I found out today that there is a course in Belton just south of the High School and the Upper Elementary School. This course has a marker and a Disc Catcher per hole but no additional signage. The front nine made sense when I walked it today. Once I got to hole 10 I was incredibly confused.

If someone is a little familiar with the course, could you provide some information on it and some general guidelines for navigation?

The best navigation is after you finish the front nine, get in your car and head east on 58 highway, turn south on Madison to the Raymore course and play our 18 holes, with tee pads.

Other Area Courses (Not Affiliated with the KCFDC) / No Joke
« on: April 01, 2015, 08:50:38 am »
I know it's April Fool's day, but no joke Raymore course is 90% complete and playable with 18 holes. There's still some additional mowing and things that are not complete, but there are 24 tee pads poured (two pads for 2,3,8,10,15, and 16) and all 18 baskets are in.  One change from the original posted map is #10 and 18.  10 is now shorter and 18 is using the original green/basket location for 10.  There will be new bridges put in between 10 and 11 and 13 and 14 to cross stream.

A couple of other things that I am working with the P&R to address is that there are soccer teams practicing near 5 and 6 with parents camped out right by the basket or in the fairway.  Not much I can do about it for the next month, but those teams should be done by Mother's day.  Usually between 5:30 and 7:30 pm Mon-Thur is the worst, the rest of the time it's wide open.  Also sometimes there are people fishing near hole 2, 3, 7, and 8.  Please be aware.  See you out there.
