I might be doing some league at Raymore on Friday nights.  But first I have to get our course finished first.  Half done...  YESSSS!!!  Actually more than half done.  I hope to have a ribbon cutting ceremony this spring.  I have a Facebook group started, if you want to be added let me know.

Here's what I think about all of this ....

A male patient is lying in bed in the hospital, wearing an oxygen mask over his mouth and nose. A young student nurse appears and gives him a partial sponge bath.  "Nurse,"' he mumbles from behind the mask, "are my testicles black?"  Embarrassed, the young nurse replies, "I don't know, Sir. I'm only here to wash your upper body and feet."  He struggles to ask again, "Nurse, please check for me. Are my testicles black?"

Concerned that he might elevate his blood pressure and heart rate from worrying about his testicles, she overcomes her embarrassment and pulls back the covers. She raises his gown, holds his manhood in one hand and his testicles gently in the other.  She looks very closely and says, "There's nothing wrong with them, Sir. They look fine."

The man slowly pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her, and says very slowly, "Thank you very much. That was wonderful. Now listen very, very closely:

Are - my - test - results - back?"

<takes off organizer hat><puts Best Side hat on>

deadwood was there last year, 0 fer 2, if I recall correctly.

<swaps hats>

Correct, I didn't play my best because I had somewhere else I was suppose to be and it was not at the East/West Challenge.  I made arrangements to be there, but it didn't work very well for me.  I was there, but not there if you know what I mean. And if you don't understand, then you don't have kids and other responsibilities and you need to grow up.

I am just using the forum to state my personal preference.  You don't have to schedule around me.  But if nobody says something about what they prefer, how will you know Mrs. Walker?

I would prefer the E(ast) W(ood) challenge be a different weekend.  I have and will continue to have conflicts on that weekend.

We had a group out there this afternoon and there was hardly anyone out there.  Right now Tue-Thu nights are very busy from 5-7.  I haven't been out there on Mondays in a few weeks so I can't say much about if it's busy too.  The problem is that right now the sun is setting around 7pm and there's not much daylight for practices and games to get in.  I did talk to the P&R staff and next season we will make some changes to fix this problem.  Also today we got a new information kiosk installed and we started marking the tee pads to be poured in the next few weeks.

This is a multi-use park and we have to share the park with other users.  We haven't worked out everything yet and I'm sorry that you didn't get to play all the holes.  Please remember this course is NOT complete.  It is playable, but not everything is worked out yet.  I've been out there and I've never had any interference with holes 1 and 9 because of football practice and they are there almost every night.  I have had issues with holes 5 and 6 though for soccer practices and there are some things that I will be asked that be changed in the scheduling which will hopefully fix these holes.  It will get better.  It's similar situation to PHill being closed for the cross country meet.  Remember calm down, this is just for fun.

General Banter / Discraft? Discraft!
« on: September 09, 2014, 01:45:27 pm »
Since I filled out the Innova and Trilogy, I thought I would show the Discraft molds I throw too.

Z Zone (super overstable midrange)  Love this disc!  Forehands, skip, head wind, approaches, etc.  It never flips and rarely goes too far.  I can crank on this puppy and it can take it.
Buzzz regular Z 172-175g dead straight, little fade, or anny shots.  Whatever line is needed.
Buzzz 10 year anniv 177g+ Used, when full power is needed or more fade is needed than the straighter Buzzz.
ESP Nuke (max distance drives). I currently don't bag anymore, as it's too inconsistent for me now.  But my longest drives ever were done with this disc.

Regular Bag
Pro Rhyno (2 main putters)
Ontario Champion Rhyno (driving and approach putter)
Glow Champion Gazelle (fairly beat understable fairway, use it as a utility disc too)
Teebirds (PFN Star, Champ, GStar, AJ Star are all used depending on day and conditions); workhorse fairway driver
Star TL - (straight fairway driver)
Star Valkyrie - 2, one is super beat and like a roadrunner and the other is newer and flex's out.  Used for S-shots, anny's, and straight shots
PFN Star Firebird - (Waaaay cheaper than a 11X Champ firebird and in my opinion is just as good)
Star Tern (occasionally Champ too) - long turnover, anny, and shots.  This thing bombs!
Destroyers (4 Star and GStar) - Workhorse distance drivers
XCaliber (first run EchoStar) - Overstable distance drivers

Others that I play around with and throw in the bag sometimes, but aren't mainstays
Star Sidewinder - backup for beat up valkyrie
Champ Wraith (older from 2009 timeframe, newer ones don't seem to work for me)
Champ Starfire (old CE)
Champ SL

Gold line Fuse - understable midrange
Moonshine Truth - straight midrange (backs up Buzzz).  I can use them almost interchangeably.
Lucid Suspect (rediscovered this disc.  I have been overshooting my targets with my truth and buzzz shots and the suspect has a similar flight but not as far).
Pain - overstable midrange (I don't bag this often anymore, but I still throw it from time to time.  It's main problem for me is I would often overshoot my target due to it's glide.  Good problem to have).
Saint - understable driver.  I bagged one for quite a while until it took a dunk into the water at Tim Selinski Master's tournament this spring.  Someone returned it, but after spending some time in the H20 it is way more understable now and I'm using a Star Valkyrie as it's replacement.

These are my favorite trilogy discs.

Winter Leagues / Re: September and/or October Wednesday glow?

Jordan, I didn't take offense to your opinion, I was just giving my own.  I AM grumpy today and I knew you could take some healthy ribbing.  I have been quiet on her lately and I haven't stirred the pot recently.  Sorry.  I didn't mean stupid, how about silly?

Now how about the victory by Paul McBeth or the white hot Royals?

'something stupid silly'

did you look up glow in the dictionary?  what does that even mean or matter?  It's all for fun right? who cares if you put lights or glow sticks on it.  Or carry a flashlight or god forbid use it.

No kidding.  I am intrigued.  In this day and age, didn't anyone have a smart phone recording what Loomis said?

As for the Utz situation, that IS unfortunate.  That's too bad.  And I personally think whoever observed his caddy drinking should have notified both of them at the time of the infraction, that it was a violation and pulled the TD in at that time.  I think to wait until after the round is over, gives them the impression that you (the player) are okay with it whether you or aren't.  That is the rule and it MUST be enforced.  If you don't like the rule, then take the proper steps to get the rule changed.
