I'm turning the big 4-0 this weekend and wanted to play some disc golf.  My original plan was going to be to head to Marshall, MO and play both courses, but due to the uncertainty with the weather our plans' have changed.  We will playing Safari at Swope.  We'll meet there at 9:30am and teeing off by 10am.  We'll likely do random draw doubles for a little green, but I will play whatever the majority want to do.  All are invited.  Come check it out.  Later,

Found 2013 bagtag at PHill on Sunday #39.  Anyone?

Since I'm off this Friday, I'm going to play somewhere.  But I thought the morning was going to be dry so that's when I was going to play.

where are you playing Friday morning?

I have to be somewhere by 11am.  I will probably play somewhere close either Swope or PHill.  Starting by 8am.  I'll shoot you a text tonight.

We would have been playing for $22 ($150 vs $128).  I was ready to get out of the cold.  Since it was unsanctioned and there was no trophy, lets go hang out at the DD store for a bit.

Arturo and I tied at 96 for two rounds for first.  We split it and didn't have a playoff.  Scott Reek took third, Bobby V. took 4th and Steve Thimmesch took 5th.  I don't know who won Advanced, but Joseph Hammontree won intermediate.  Aaron Shanahan tied for the win in Advanced Masters.  That's all I can remember.

I am going to be there but I won't be there at 11, when's the last card going out?

I found your disc at Rosie Down Under.  I think it's a green champ orc with a spin dye.  I tried both numbers but couldn't get through and I meant to drop it in the drop box, but forgot.  I sent you an email too.

Lee's Summit P&R are somewhat more particular in how they would like groups to work with them as opposed to some of the other P&R departments in the area.  For example, when we meet with them to schedule the work day this fall and we asked about future tournaments they indicated that the shelters would need to be rented the day of the tournament.  They cost $80 and 100 per day per shelter (there are two).  Basically, it would cost an additional $180 to run the tournament.  I don't know if that would be for every tournament or what the specifics are, but that might be part of the reason as to why more tournaments are not ran at Legacy.  I expect when the Bluebird series was out there, that they waived that requirement since the Bluebird was part of the  Missouri Parks and Recreation Association, which they are a member/part of.

I was there.  It's still moving forward.  Our next workshop will be Nov 5th and that is where we will start to lay out a preliminary design and plan for the park.  My guess  is that the firm completing the master plan has never dealt with disc golf course and don't really know how to handle it.  At this point a course there is still a major consideration for this park.  There were some at the first session who didn't support disc golf and don't get it, but my impression was that they had their own ideas about what should go in there.  I didn't hear anything in the conversation that would prevent a course from going in there.
