Played league last night and had a great time with the people I played with Adam, TJ Ring and Tank. The course looks good and it will look even better when its mowed. The layout is great it played 2.5 hours for the 4 of us. A lot of the original holes and a few new ones. A couple of holes need some work so here is some constructive ideas. Hole 4 and hole 13 both need a gap to get through. Even if its a 6' wide gap. These are both overhand thumber holes which I dont have that shot. Doesn't seem fair to us that don't throw those types of shots. I can throw very straight when needed and would thread the needle if the gap was there.
The course is a great layout and will be fun to play.

I've only played that layout once, but both of those holes have decent spike hyzer lines for a lefty.  And I saw Vince (a righty) park #13 with a high anny line with a roc.

Here's a scenario I wanted to know how to handle.  Say there are 3 players with bag tags playing on a card in league.  Tag #'s 4, #50, and #260.  Say the #50 and #260 tie (both shoot 54), but both players beat the #4 bag tag holder (shot 56).  Who gets the #4 tag?  Clearly the former #4 who shot 56 gets #260 in this scenario.  But I couldn't figure out who gets the lowest tag since both of the other players have a claim to it.

The TD is suppose to tell you before you tee off.  Last year Dan Coffman said which tee pads to use and I believe the signs were covered with a trash bag to show you which ones were not in use.  In prior years, Rick was TD and he also said which pads were suppose to be used.  My guess though is long pads are used on 11 and 18 to prevent errant shots from 10 and 15 from interferring with drives.  And then short pads used on 5, 13, 14.  I've played every year though and do remember one year they didn't indicate what suppose to be used.  Just ask before you get started.

So I was taking some customers to Jack Stack in Martin City for some delicious BBQ and I noticed a basket on Holmes.  I can't remember if it was just south or just north of there, but it was on the west side of Holmes in between Red Bridge and 150 highway.  Anybody know the story on it?

I don't know if you have played baseball/softball, but a backhand lefty shot is like a right handed bat swing.  That association might help figure it out.  I would think the footwork is the most difficult to get right.  Practice the X step and it should work out.   Good luck

I don't play bag tags all that often.  But generally I've heard that ties after the round means no change of bag tags.  However, for casual rounds you need to define what's a round is .... 9, 18, 27 or whatever.

How do you walk off and forget your whole bag and not realize it until the next day?  I've done that with a disc or two (or a dozen) over the years, but not once have I left my entire bag at a course.  That's the second time in a month that I have heard that happen at Swope.  Last month, after a round at Swope a buddy and I were walking back to our cars and sitting by my car on a large boulder was an innova deluxe bag full of discs.  Looked around nobody was around.  I got the owner's number off the discs and a dude named josh answered when I called.  I told him where it was after I had hid it by the clubhouse in a bush.  Hopefully he got it back.  He didn't want to come pick it up that night from me and honestly I wasn't going to drive the opposite way I was going to return it.  And I don't think it would have fit in the drop slot at the clubhouse.  Ha! Ha! 

Now I have returned a bag full of discs to the rightful owner, but if I walk off the course and leave my entire bag there overnight, I would have a hard time saying it was STOLEN!  I'm not saying that whoever has it should keep it and they SHOULD return it to the rightful owner ,but geez keep track of your stuff.

I've set the KCCC pin configuration for the past 4 years. One of the big reasons it's so short is we have to accommodate both men and women (nearly 500 players) over 1 weekend. They want the couse set up in advance, giving all players a chance to see the setup. There's probably only half of the total players that play golf on a regular basis, and only 10% that are tournament level players. That being said, I think we are going to use some longer pads for the men this year, so it should play a bit tougher.

I understand why it's done.  I'm just saying I prefer some of the other configurations.  It's also crazy how busy Swope gets in April leading up to it.

I've played it in this for the last 4 years.  It's not my favorite tournament, but it's still fun and worth it if your company is part of it.  The setup at swope is about as easy as it gets, which I don't like.  I wish some of the holes would give even good players a chance at some fours.  But it's pretty much deuce or die type tournament and designed to maximize the flow of the large number of teams that have to play.  For me though, the biggest benefit, is that it is likely many peoples (including myself) first exposure to tournament/competitive disc golf.  And since then I have played many other tournaments, leagues, and am now part of the club.  I've been playing since '95 and I was pretty much a weekend chucker and now if I don't play at least once a week (even during the winter), I get pretty grumpy.  I attribute my current disc golf experience to two things.  One was finding a champion valkyrie which I could instantly throw at least 50 ft further than the DX Gazelles that I have been chucking for 10+ years and two, the KCCC tournament.  Honeywell will likely by in A.  See you all out there.

So I have a 166g Star Destroyer that I got at the 2011 KCWO and since Innova says they make Stars in 168-175 (and Pro), I thought I would give it a try. 
After throwing it, I found it to be the most stable Destroyer I have every thrown.  It's definitely feels light when thrown, but meat hooks almost every time with a hard fade.  Somebody told me the lighter destroyers were more stable than heavier ones, which makes no sense to me.  But appears that I have provided some evidence that it does occur.  I'm curious as to what happens with the blizzard technology and you reduce the weight even more.  Do you guys feel that it's as stable or more stable than the "normal" weight counterparts?  How much further are you throwing with the blizzard vs. the reg. plastic for the same mold?
