I like the course, but I didn't like the OB in some places.  With the wind it was dang near impossible on some shots to keep it in bounds.

Is Swope Spring Renewal definitely April 13th? That's the weekend of the GBO...

I heard a few things.  I think it got moved up to April 6, was moved to Pleasant Hill, and called something completely different WWW.   ;)

Actually, I heard it might not happen.

Vince said he lost one.  Might ask him.

That's funny, that's pretty much how I won my other Grip Bag.  Had to buy more tickets.

I'm going.  I will be reserving a hotel soon.  I am going to probably only take in 2 more roomies and no snorers.

Oh and by the way, yesterday I bought the winning ticket for Grip Bag raffle at MILE NORTH DISC GOLF, a new Disc Golf Shop in Independence, no need to bother.  I have some luck in winning Grips this way so I thought I would try to repeat.   ;)

If not...then shouldn't ADV be off your plate now?

I'm still going to play AM in a few large tourneys until Am Worlds.  Some due to expense.  I mean GBO is almost double between Advanced and Open ($80 vs. $155) and KCWO is ($88 vs. $170) plus there will be some serious competition at those A-tiers.

I played Masters the last two times because I can (like Fred).  I wanted to experience something different and see what it was like.  By the way, it is way different than playing Advanced.  I'm sure playing Open will be another completely different experience too.  I'm planning on playing several different divisions this year.  I will play some Masters, a little Advanced (GBO and KCWO), Advanced Masters (Worlds), and some Open.  One nice thing about playing in the Masters division is that I'm not constantly out driven by 100 ft.  I have decent distance on my drives, but I am frequently the shorty off the tee in Advanced.  I make up for it with good upshots and at times good putting.   What I found in Masters division is that most of players, play a similar game to me (except with more rollers).  As as side note, I think added cash should go to Open division.

I once was playing Belmont DGC in Dayton, OH and a storm was rolling in.  I was there for business and it was the only chance I was going to get to play.  It was in the summer and I decided I didn't care if I was going to wet so I headed out and got started.  I made it to hole 12 or 13, and then all hell broke lose.  The wind was so bad and it was raining so hard that I couldn't even tell which direction to head back to my car.  Since I had never played this course and couldn't see a thing, it took me probably 15 minutes to find my way back to my car.  There were several lightning strikes very close and I wouldn't have been surprised if it started hailing (it didn't).  I thought to myself "well that was dumb" and was thankful I made it back to my car in one piece. Weather is very unpredictable and I personally think it was the right call.  I don't think there was enough daylight to complete the round.  Especially if it was stopped due to lightning and then wait a half hour and restarted again.  Now I know several of us were on the far side and couldn't hear the horn and kept playing through and didn't wait the half hour.  We might have been able to finish the round, but I know we still had 6 holes to play at 5:15/5:30 pm (when we finally stopped).  The first round took us a lilttle over 3.5 hours to play in much easier conditions, which means if we played the final 1/3 of the course at the same rate it would have taken an hour and 15 minutes.  I'm guessing in those conditions it would have taken us at least an hour and half if not 2 hours and I'm pretty sure would have been very, very dark.
