Pleasant Hill / Re: Did somrbody say new baskets?
« on: October 29, 2012, 08:35:39 AM »
Congratulations Narin!  BTW, I played new holes 1-6, but I'm not sure where 7-8 are.  I think I know where they are suppose to be and it looked like they were cut in but wasn't sure.  And it looked like #9 (long S shaped hole) was marked as #7 and the basket was gone.  Last time I played the new wood holes it was there.

I'm going to be taking final orders for KCFDC apparel at the club championships.  I need to get to at least a minimum of 50 shirts or the order won't happen.  I will leave out order sheets for you to fill out and then I will accept payment for what's been ordered after the rounds on both Sat and Sunday.

Dick, is it alright for me to leave the order sheets at your sign up table before each round?

Obviously I will accept cash for payment and If I have good cell phone reception i should be able to accept credit card payments.  I will have to charge an additional 2.75% for the amount.  See you this weekend.  Eric

Bag Tags / Re: 2012 bag tag ideas
« on: October 04, 2012, 12:37:41 PM »
What about using the 30th Kansas City Wide Open logo?  Maybe replace the 2012 PDGA National Tour with all the KCFDC courses, and then replace the XXX with the bag tag # in a slightly larger font.

Buy acetone from home depot or lowes.  Comes right off.  I use an old t shirt dipped in acetone and wipes it off.  No damage to disc.   I've been selectively wiping my discs lately.  Here's an example.

I'm planning on going to Old Settler's in the morning to take shirt orders.  If you want to see something, just let me know.  I'll bring them out.  Eric

Legacy Park - Lee's Summit / Re: Pin Settings
« on: August 31, 2012, 03:36:33 PM »
I think we have some real options for new pin placements on the holes with only one pin location.
#9 left and long. Maybe plant a small cedar guardian tree? Still have to avoid the trees halfway down.
#10 beyond creek. Let's make it I reachable shall we? ;)
#12 LEFT. By far the best option.
#14 tucked left in trees or even on far side of creek. Far side of creek would be a sloped hill pin with potential to be wet on a runaway (if it were ever full of water)
#16 left behind large tree and cedar. Hyzer route for both righty and lefty.

Granted, LS parks and rec would have to approve. But we have option. Honestly there should be two if not three courses here as is...

I may have some suggestions to help get approval.  Who lives in Lees Summit?  Best for it to be proposed by them.

I will be at the Old Settlers Open taking shirt and hats orders for KCFDC apparel.  I am not playing in the tournament, but I thought I would come by before it got going.  If you don't know who I am, my name is Eric and I will be wearing a Navy Tennessee Vols hat sitting in a blue lawn chair.  If I'm real ambitious I might make a sign.  No promises though.   See you all out there.

The lights tend to make the disc a little more understable.

haha, no worries.  I like that definition.  just fooling.  I never shoot well at Cliff.  I guess the shorter setup agreed with me.  My previous best out there is a 56.

47 in AM. Nice Eastwood. Flood coming? or do you just have those bags of sand lying around??

"Mr. Pott didn't you play Intermediate in the KCWO and shoot a 1028 rated round to win" asked Mr. Kettle.

For some reason, Eric thinks that being a PDGA Am must mean you're a club Am too.

what's the difference? pdga am/club am.  why have divisions then?
