Travis Corporon qualified for the East Side team with his Advanced win at Paradise Diamond (114/-5).  Next qualifier will be at Waterworks League this Thursday at 5/25 (2 spots will be offered).

Tank and Zeke both shot 51s, which were 1002 rated rounds. I won't make them play it off. Pretty solid performances so both are on the team. I will figure out later if we take another qualifier down from 2 to 1 or if I just reduce my captain's pick from 4 to 3.

I have enough interest to have a qualifier at Cliff Drive league tonight.  1 men's spot is being offered.  Any ties will be determined by a match play style playoff on another day between the players.

May 21 Paradise Diamond is another qualifier for one men's spot. Not a lot of East Siders signed up.  Please sign up and play.

From the women who have expressed interest in playing in the EvW, Elisabeth Borg-Bowman (123) is the lowest score and the East Side qualifier from the KC Diva Spring Feeva event this past Saturday.  Congratulations!

I have a white one with a purple stamp - 175g marked, not scaled.  It's been field tested and for my arm speed it is very stable.  For yours, who knows.  I would say that its flat, not domey.  Super tacky grip which is why I purchased it.  I have a poppy top, yellow one also with a purple stamp.  But it's only 166g and is hanging on my wall.

Since City of Fountains is full and lots of East siders playing,  I am taking 3 spots from it and only 1 from Paradise Diamond.

And here are a few other updates:  For the ladies, I will be taking the top score from each the 2017 Diva Spring Feeva (1 spot) and KC Wide Open (1 spot) and then pull an alternative as a captain's pick from someone who plays both.  Thinking averaging the ratings from the two tournaments and see who did the best.  But I do reserve the right to just pick if it's close.  I do put value in the more events played and what statistics tell me.

Here are some other dates that have not been announced yet:
May 15 or May 22 - BV/Cliff Drive league - 1 spot
May 25 Water Works league - 2 men spots
June 2 Legacy league (provided I can talk Rob into singles)  - 2 men spots
June 3 Battle at Bad Rock - 2 men spots

And the rest that have already been announced:
March 12 - Rosedale Cup (Chris Clemons* & Eric Eastwood)
May 7 - City of Fountains - 3 men spots
May 13 - KC Diva Spring Feeva 1 woman's spot
May 21 - Paradise Diamond - 1 men spot
June 6 - Swope Gold League 2 men spots
June 9-11 - KCWO 3 spots (2 men, 1 women)

*Not playing, planning on Worlds.  Added one more qualifier spot.
Captain's picks - 4 men and 1 woman.

Other team events on 5/29, 6/4, and 6/18.  See Facebook team page.  Find me on FB and I can add you to it.

PM if me you are interested in being on the East Side Team.  I will add you to the Facebook group and you can be part of the discussion and decisions that are being made.

KC Team Challenge will take place on June 24th-25th this year.
Saturday 24th - West side hosts Best shot doubles (course TBD)
Sunday 25th - East hosts Alt shot doubles & Singles (course/s TBD)

Most likely this year there will be 16 Men & 2 Women on the team, with 4 Alternates of either sex.  18 total Qualified players and 4 Captain's Picks

March 12:  Rosedale Open
May 7 - City of Fountains
May 13 - KC Diva Spring Feeva
May 21 - Paradise Diamond
June 6 - Swope Gold League
June 9-11 - KCWO

I am considering April 9 Longview Open (Pro/Adv) but there would need to be quite a few East-siders that would need to head west before I will make it a qualifier.  For example, I decided against using the Kan-U-Wyco since there are relatively few of us East-siders registered for this events.  However if any east-sider shoots an average of a 1000 rated rounds for either of those tournaments, they are on the team.  Another tournament I am considering is Battle at Bad Rock on April 22, but again it depends on how many east-siders sign up for it.

There will be at least one qualifier at Thursday night Waterworks league.  And we will have remaining qualifiers at Legacy and Blue Valley that will be announced at a later date.

That's all for now.

Dick that would be extremely useful to have past participants contact information.  I would vote against a white shirt myself.  They are too hard to keep clean.  I think a grey would work fine.  East side, I will get organized soon as to how we are going to handle qualifiers.  It will be different than before, but I need to take a look at the tournament schedule.

I played on his card at the Swope league with Gold setup before the Wide Open a few years back.  I think GI Dave and Keck might have been on that card. Maybe Matt Crowe too.  Memory is a little fuzzy.  I had heard the stories about him being a douchebag and not wanting to give a high five before and after rounds.  So I made it a point to give him a high five before and after the round and he did just like everyone else does.  He was a little awkward and stand offish at the beginning of the round, but he loosened up with us and it was fun round.  He threw some amazing shots and was not the db I expected. So that day he was fine and I had a pleasant experience the one time I played with him.

However, as a professional athlete, he should act professionally and I have seen videos of him being the childish and the douchebag that is his reputation.  I think the PDGA is trying to send a message to the disc golf community.  I do think it's rather harsh ... 18 months seems excessive to me, but he has a history.
