Winter Leagues / Re: September and/or October Wednesday glow?

'something stupid silly'

did you look up glow in the dictionary?  what does that even mean or matter?  It's all for fun right? who cares if you put lights or glow sticks on it.  Or carry a flashlight or god forbid use it.

No kidding.  I am intrigued.  In this day and age, didn't anyone have a smart phone recording what Loomis said?

As for the Utz situation, that IS unfortunate.  That's too bad.  And I personally think whoever observed his caddy drinking should have notified both of them at the time of the infraction, that it was a violation and pulled the TD in at that time.  I think to wait until after the round is over, gives them the impression that you (the player) are okay with it whether you or aren't.  That is the rule and it MUST be enforced.  If you don't like the rule, then take the proper steps to get the rule changed.

General Banter / Raymore course

Front 9 baskets are in at Raymore Recreation Park course (we will come up with a better name soon).  Hole one starts by the skate park.  Tee pads aren't poured yet, but there are markers at tee pad locations (some holes #2, 3, & 8 have short pad locations too).  I will be posting map shortly either on Facebook or possibly here if I can figure it out.  Back 9 will go in later in the year (possibly into next spring).   Ribbon cutting and dedication and full opening will be next summer.  But, you can play some disc golf now in Raymore if you live close to there.  Get a hold of me by PM, email, or phone if you want to check it out and want a tour.  Those of us that live here are super excited.  I know a few (Vince Como, Brad Ryberg, and Sean Mizell) played tonight and I will be setting the initial course record tomorrow evening ;)

That is a DX Valkyrie.  And that night after we were done a couple of guys had to get to a softball game so they were high tailing it out there as they were already late.  They might drive a civic, I can't remember.  My guess this is probably who you thought "stole" your disc".  I would guess that the disc that Joe has is the disc you are looking for.  For future reference, you might have your friend mark it with his name and number.  They often will make it home.

Rob,  Thanks for coming over and giving some love to Legacy with your PDGA league.  It was great to see so many players out at Legacy.  FYI, I really like the format of this league. I've had a busy summer so far but I'm hopeful that I can make more of these in the future.

For those of you that never play Legacy, right now it's in primo shape.  Rough was mowed last week, the fairways were mowed on Tuesday, and its set up the gold configuration (tipped out).  If Legacy hasn't been mowed, it can be not as fun to play.  Finally, Loomis tore that course up on Wednesday.  He was lights out with the putter.  He missed one on #2, otherwise he had some fantastic putts and drove well all night.  Quite impressive.   Good luck this weekend.

I'm planning on it.  I have 2 Zephyrs.  Might be able to loan one out since they pretty much do the same thing.

Pleasant Hill / 7/3 Glow and swap meet

After the new players league on Thursday 7/3 at Pleasant Hill, I was thinking it would be fun to have a $5 random draw doubles glow round.  We'll start around 9pm.  In between the two rounds, I am going to be bringing my extra discs to swap/sell if anyone is interested.

I also think that I have something wrong in my right shoulder, so I may be taking off playing time for the month of July and focus on getting Cliff Ready for the LDO.

You are going to need the time.  Matt Crowe and I played Cliff yesterday.  Course was looking rough, lots of over growth.  Plus another burned up car in between holes 8 and 9.  And tons of trash all over especially on hole 17.  In fact, Matt and I could barely play 17 as local neighbors were hanging out above the basket throwing the empty cans and 12 pack boxes right at the basket as we were coming up to finish.  No respect for the park.

What about BV of KS?

When Kevin Zane and I were leaving, a park staff asked about the tournament.  He said they would be mowing all week trying to get caught up.  One of their main mowing tractors went down which put them behind especially at Rosie I'm sure.

I threw an absolute fantastic shot that was parked on other pin and was out of bounds.  I thought as long as I throw a straight shot I will be fine.  Guess not.   Stupid artificial ob.  Makes courses look gimmiky when it's unnecesary.  Wyco is a fantastic course and plenty difficult without it.

I have a question about #9 at Wyco.  Caddy book shows the OB on left and right goes all the way to the road (straight ahead).  I just played there and it's painted OB short of the road.  It cuts in front of the the pin that is  straight ahead.  So is the caddy book wrong?  I get the OB on the left and right.  I don't understand it straight ahead when you have the road there.
