Magic...

I tried to make it smaller, but it is a link to a webpage so it pulls the original size from it.

I will be in posession of a range finder at approx. 3:00 today.  I will get it to Tom either tonight or tomorrow, but he will need some help marking all the distances, so time for all the Olathe local boyz to step up and help out to get this done.  I can help but it will be Mar 5th before that happens, so if you have free time please let Tom know so you guys can cordinate a effort.

New Locks were approved and Dan is working on those, hopefully to be purchased and installed before summer leagues start the first week in April.

Thanks goes to all of you who helped with the new holes, you were not rewarded properly for your efforts so be looking forward to some ice cold rewards courtesy of myself when I get back.

Ya Tom has access to all that so he is working on it.  We just need distances for each pin so they can be on the marquee and on each tee post.  The problem is the tee posts need to have weather covers or plexi glass type of deal for protection.  We are playing on taking digital photos of each hole with maybe an overhead inset on each hole.

Can anyone get a hold of some surveying equipement or a range finder of some sort so we can measure all the pins at Prairie Center??

This is something that would only take a couple hours to do and I would be more then happy to help if somebody has the equipement and time.

The one idea I have run across that I like is getting them printed up on plastic squares, kind of like they do with custom license plates, but everything I found is pretty exspensive....then you would have to mount them with screws and a metal frame or something so they don't get tore up as quick.

Those pictures on that site make me want summer to get here again..

Tom and I have actually been talking about getting a course map made for the marquee and figureing out a way to get some tee signs onto the posts that are there.  I was thinking that waiting till the grass is green to take pictures since they look better, then we can take them into photoshop or something and put some dots and distances on them.

The only problem is figureing out a weather proof / tamper proof way to mount them on the posts.

General Banter / Bag Tag Idea
« on: February 15, 2006, 01:01:16 PM »
I agree it's a bit played out...just another thought producer...

I think instead of something being another club idea, or "good enough for texas" we should come up with something on our own...which brings it back to the stainless laser tags...that way we can make our own graphics and such.

Hahaha....that is funny....the cow tag idea crossed my mind but that is about as long as it stuck around.

Although cheap...I'm not sure it represents a reputation we want to get started for the club.....????

Another idea is the silicone wristbands that Mr. Armstrong made so popular...only about $1.60 each...

All these computer jockeys out there and these designs are the best we can come up with for the biggest tournament of the year????

I'm not trying to knock these designs but I would think we could get a little more creative....something with some detail....

Here is one I did, nothing fancy and I only spent about 15 minutes on it.

General Banter / ???? Bag Tag Tourney ????
« on: February 09, 2006, 12:36:40 PM »
I agree that we need to try a different route because the Hooters girls aren't scantily dressed enough...too much material in them uniforms, even though they do fit nice...haha...

On a serious note, I think we have enough people in the club that are artistic enough to make a bad ass design for tags, I'd say make it a competition for what's on the tag and give a good number to the winning design or even number one..????

Just an idea....

I hear Uranium is getting pretty easy to come by these days....

The guy walking around Rosedale, picking up cans at the Ice Bowl said he could get grenades for us....haha
