Bob walks into a bar and orders a beer.

"How is it going today Bob?" asked Jim

Bob replied, "Don't call me Bob, call me Lucky."

"Why is that?" asked Jim

Bob replied, "Well that train wreck yesterday that only one guy walked away from, that was me."

Next day Bob walks in & orders a beer.

"How is it going today Lucky?" asked Jim

Bob replied, "Don't call me Lucky, call me Lucky Lucky."

"Why is that?" asked Jim

Bob replied, "Well that 5 car pile up this morning that only one guy walked away from, that was me."

Next day Bob walks in & orders a beer.

"How is it going today Lucky Lucky?" asked Jim

Bob replied, "Don't call me Lucky Lucky, call me Lucky Lucky Lucky."

"Why is that?" asked Jim

Bob replied, "Well a guy walked into his house this morning and caught me nailing his wife and he shot me in the butt."

"How is that Lucky?" asked Jim

Bob replied, "Well if he would have been 5 minutes earlier he would have shot me in the head."

General Banter / ???? Bag Tag Tourney ????

I don't think women should get different ones, because that limits thier play.  Honestly there are only a handful of women that play in this area and if we make them a different Tag that pretty much takes all the fun out of it for them.  I say a tag is a matter getting different colors for number placing I like that idea.

#1 - Gold
#2 thru #15 - Silver
#16 thru #30 - Blue
#31 thru #50 - Green
#50 thru #100 - Red
Then make the rest black or some boring color...haha

Dennis and I have been talking and sounds like he is trying to figure something out on these bottle opener bag tag ideas.

What are your thoughts on how to distribute them and do you like the idea of Bag Tags?

Or latest and greatest scheme is to have a "Bag Tag Tourney" with a $10 entry the winner taking home #1 plus some prize money.  Tags will run about $5 after shipping and that includes a couple bucks to the club.  With the $10 entry we would then take the extra $5 and have some money for payouts on the tourney.  Maybe a CTP contest for the #10 Tag or something.

Please vote so we can get a feel of what all you members want to do.

Thanks for the input...

Swope / League Ace Fund

Anyone know what the Ace fund was at for the final league night of 2005?  From the records I have, it looks like it was at about $120.  If anyone has sheets or records that show this different please get with me before or at the next meeting which is in mid Feb and we'll get the numbers changed.

7 golfers put the Ace fund up to $95 and the 33 Degrees with 15-20 mph winds made for a very exciting round on the Prairie.  Snow started falling on hole 14 and was moderate/heavy for the rest of the round.

Andy Lewis and Bob Hayett shooting 55 for $35
Bryan Guthrie and Dean Uhlman shooting 56
Arturo Villareal and Dan Forster shooting 57
Ted Keith and Cali Ted shooting 59

I understand having to order 250, and I don't see that being a problem.  Lights cost $2 at league and people buy those like crazy, why not offer club memebers a tag for $1 then sell them at tournaments for $5 like you said.  I bet they would be gone in a couple months...if that.

That placement which you speak of will eventually be the long placement, there is still talks going around about putting one approx. where the old 13 tee pad was or else going further west closer to the pond but still on the back side of the trees with a placement.  There are several people that like the placement it is in now, including myself.  It adds skill to your shot and the thorns are kind of your punishment for throwing a crappy shot...haha

Eventually that will all be cleaned up, but like Bob mentioned the Olathe P&R like to keep a tight hold on things out there.  I can't blame them either, not much land there and houses are growing closer and closer all the time.  When spring hits and P&R can get their big dog mowers out there I think we'll see a dramatic improvement after a couple mows.
