Hole 5 actually has less parking, P&R added a large gravel shoulder near hole 1, so it's better now.

If Teddy Crocker is coming, I may work all night to get ahead and make it.

what are the directions to this course?

I used: 700 S Ward Cliff Dr for the Facebook page....not sure how GPS will handle it.

on Santa Fe go past PC about a mile to the Lake, course is on the SE shores.  There are 2 entries on the North East side of the lake, but the West entrance was shut off due to work in progress...so use the entry just past the Eagles lodge...I think it's called "S Golf Course Road" or something.

Or take i-35 south to "Old 56" to K-7 north to Dennis west to Ward Cliff and north.

Hope that helps.

General Banter / Re: FINALLY! A real Disc Golf Novel

The synapsis alone justifies the purchase...

"When Justice Montana and his friends go out for a day at the disc golf course, they never expected to find sexy, sultry Nena there! After one of them loses their discs in the rough, busty Nena appears and lets the boys explore her own rough. It's all leads to a dirty, naughty gang bang in the woods that will not soon be forgotten!"

I wouldn't recommend lakeside for strollers....many hills and the fairways are still rough in many areas.  Once the mowers hit it 3-4 times this summer it should be in better shape....but it's still a long haul.

General Banter / Re: Masters
« on: March 12, 2013, 12:13:47 PM »
I played Masters the last two times because I can (like Fred).  I wanted to experience something different and see what it was like.  By the way, it is way different than playing Advanced.  I'm sure playing Open will be another completely different experience too.  I'm planning on playing several different divisions this year.  I will play some Masters, a little Advanced (GBO and KCWO), Advanced Masters (Worlds), and some Open.  One nice thing about playing in the Masters division is that I'm not constantly out driven by 100 ft.  I have decent distance on my drives, but I am frequently the shorty off the tee in Advanced.  I make up for it with good upshots and at times good putting.   What I found in Masters division is that most of players, play a similar game to me (except with more rollers).  As as side note, I think added cash should go to Open division.

So you turned down the $220 at WyCo?  If so...WOW!  If not...then shouldn't ADV be off your plate now?

Not picking, just asking....but I do have Palmers number if you would like to discuss the benefits of bagging.!   ;D

Speaking of Beer love....I am currently at 13 complete tours plus 74 beers into the 4th at Old Chicago's.....mmmm beeeeerrrrrr

That's putting in some work.

Started my first tour card in 2001....so averaged a little over a tour (110) per year.

I can't really pick a definite favorite either....it's all good!

It made me really proud to have a 4yr old son with me all morning and not get asked one time to "go home" or " play on my tablet" or "I'm hungry"......Brody Lewis helped Cindy put duct tape on the bottom of pins, showed us all what he could do with a Roc...so far....and loved riding in the front seat of a truck without a car seat....ooppss.!   ;D

P.S. - the mowers were out yesterday and made some good headway on clearer fairways pre-snow....but still a long ways to go.

WOOT! WOOT!

The southside of KC has been long overdue for another course....especially the SW side!!

I can't wait to get my first round in out there which I'm sure many of the non-workers out there are doing right now.

Here's to yet another place to nest......

....stay Dirty my friends!

FYI - I would not recommend Lakeside if there is much snow...the fairways are pretty rough and would be pretty apt to losing discs.

The baskets are in thuogh.....that is a good thing!!!     ;D
