Legacy Park - Lee's Summit / Re: Legacy in the fall
« on: October 13, 2009, 09:28:33 AM »
Thanks for the props guys.

The parks officials are seeing our complaints in action, as their offices are at the park.  They see the frustrated players digging in the high grass continually.   They desperately want people to be playing and there will be some changes made pertaining to the high grass maintenance for next year.  There may also be some slight configuration changes made for playability, flow and safety issues.  I think the course offers a unique challenge for our great disc golf area, as it's not just mowed out park land.  The course rewards accuracy and offers you chances to be aggressive if you think you can hit the shots.

Keep on huckin' discs out there.  The city wants us out there and trust me, they see all the suggestions made (and I hear about them).

Your humble Legacy Park CC

Brian Palmer humble?  I don't think so.

I'm not mad at you.  I just wish you would pick better boyfriends for me.

First mistake is letting someone pick for you.

Anyway, Spencer, Leos and Scorpios are horrible in relationships.  The sex is great for the first month, then they kill each other.

alright timko..now ur scaring me...

who won dubs?

Nick W. and Tom B. (me) won dubs. Tom B. also won the MTA competion during lunch. Not too shabby for the second oldest player in the park Saturday.  8)

Ahhh yes i didn't mean to leave your MTA victory off the results...congrasts...good dubs win and the MTA...it looked like there were several dubs teams..little xtra cash..not to shabby at all Tom!

Yeah Mike "BEATLE" Bailey won the event with 2 aces...both in the 2nd round...Cashen, Timko, Andy Lewis, Jack, and several others (sorry can't tink of em rite now) hit one ace a piece.

There were 9 aces all together ..2 of which were NOT in the ace fund so the other 7 took home $55 a piece.

Beatle was the big winner of the day taking home 2/7 ths of the ace fund and the grand prize of 10 premium Discraft discs and a bag.

THANKS to all whoe particpated in this event.  W/O the playas it would not have been the success it was.

KC DISC GOLF ROCKS!

BTW I want to say a big thanks to:  SLIM JIM Neal ( a HUGE thanks for taking care of the generator), Rick and Disc Golf World, EMAN for co-TDing, CD for donations, Vita Water for the cases of water, Pete Engleman (as usual..the guy is TOP NOTCH), Tyronne for spinn' the records, Ryan and Jon for running the MTA contest, anyone else i'm forgetting, and all the PLAYAS...

Yep. Just like I figured.
My knee is not going to be ready by this weekend to play. I just hope I can get around enough to make it out to pick up my players pack and drink a few suds with you guys.
This one sounded like lots of fun too darn it.
The end result was my maniscus was damaged on both sides plus I had some cartilage damage.
I may be ready to play in a few months.
Like I suggested, go ahead and sell my spot Eric and Tim.

Glover...damn..sorry to hear that.  Call me if you are going to make it out for your players pack.  816-916-8150...and call b4 like 9:30 on saturday.  I will sell the spot if we have to turn people away but if i know you are going to be out there to pick it up i'll save you a players pack since you pre reg...

I think we are using 3/4 of the teepads out there.  Most of them will tee from grass.  There will be at least 4 (?) temp baskets used as well.

Thanks again for your help yesterday Chris!
