It's getting to be that time.  Ice Bowl is this coming weekend.  Forcasted weather looks like great Ice Bowl conditions.  There is still some space left on Saturday.  If you want to gaurantee playing your full round on Saturday, pre-registration at Disc Golf World is advised.

Yes, we do have a beer sponsor.  Tallgrass Brewery, they have expressed interest in being more active with the KCFDC as a whole.

Ice bowl registration is open at Disc Golf World.  If you want to play one of the rounds on Saturday pre-registration is advised.  There is a maximum of sixsomes per card for the full rounds on Saturday and early Sunday.
We did run out of space on Saturday (only 216 slots) and had to tell people to play their round Sunday.

As a matter of fact due to this being a great cause, I challenge everybody on this forum, sign up for the chili contest and if you beat me I will caddy for you. So get up off that dang couch n get in the kitchen and bring it.
and when or what event will you be doing this.  You will be busy all that weekend.  I still want you to bring chili though.  Will that offer stand for everyone that beats you?  You better have awesome chili or next year all you will be doing is carrying bags.

The Ice Bowl will be January 26-27 at Rosedale park.  Once again we will be splitting the donation between Bishop Sullivan Center and Harvesters.

Most everything will be as it was last year.  One of the things that slowed us down last year was CTP, we have kicked around is not having a CTP for all donated items.  One option is to have a CTP for one thing.  Then have a silent auction for some stuff and a raffle or something else for other stuff.  Another option is to not have a CTP at all, just do the silent auction and raffle.  We would like some feed back on this, please.

Are we talking gold as in fun to play, as in the marquee hole you look forward to throwing, or gold as in challenging and provides scoring separation? #3 at BV would be the most challenging, but far from the most fun. That hole sucks to play.

I prefer Gold as challenging holes,  esthetics as a tie breaker.  Just me though.

I'm with Tracy, its a difficulty level thing, with aesthetics being one of the final deciders. If a touring pro, or anyone else comes in from out of town and they want to know our top 18 holes; This would be the list for them!

Even Greg changed his mind in his last post.  If it is a difficulty thing WW #1 not on the list.  If it is a best #1 in KC; WW hands down.

Jaimee, Greg set it as KCFDC course but if it was KC metro courses Smithville would be well represented.

Swope gold #1, with the OB and double mandos, is more difficult than Water Works #1 long.  WW just has a better view.  There is no tie on difficulty on this so the view is not taken into consideration. As far as difficulty goes WW is probably behind Swope gold, Blue Springs long, Cliff, and possibly Down Under long pad.
