Apologies for the lack of recent posts.

The rain stopped at 6:00 and did not start again while 7 of us played Wolf.  The big blow came when there were 14 skins pushing and Corbett parked hole 15. The 5 of us on the other team all missed a 30 foot putt to push.

Kevin Corbett   15 skins
Chad Wilkinsons  15
Ted Keith  0
William Love  0
Doug Kantro  0
Ben Taylor  0
Jamie Barry  0

It was all fine for the first 12 holes...

We were on 5 when we noticed the world to the West was being swallowed by blackness. I muttered something about having 20 minutes. Five minutes later it hit. 50+ winds, lightning, and cold driving rain.

Some headed for the cars, some finished the round, and some sought refuge in Terapin Station. Many left so it was decided to refund entries. Those that I did not catch before leaving will get refund or entry into another WW league.

How's that for a homecoming round Joe? Looks like I owe you $6. Send me your address and I'll mail it to Michigan. :c)

I waited quite a while for the Station group but they never showed. From the sounds of the phone call they were having quite a time... heck, they might still be there.

18 for non-club doubles on a rainy evening at Water Works. Tornado sirens blaring as we began the round. Conditions varied wildly hole to hole. One hole the wind might be howling and next might be dead calm. The six in my group were huddled under two umbrella's on hole 15 with the rain and hail afallin down... we were a bit envious of that group under the trees on 16. Timing...

Steve Hoog - Kevin Corbett  -5    $50
Jamie Barry - Fred Fortson  -4     $30
Doug Kantro - Ben   -2    $10

Winter Leagues / 3/31 Water Works Glow
« on: April 01, 2005, 09:44:38 PM »
A season high 28 for the last official glow of the winter. A beautiful evening for a stroll in the park. The weather and short course made for a tight round.

Thank you to all who played for making it another great winter of Thursday Glow. Thanks to MoKan for their help with the kick off tournament. Thanks to Brad Ford for the spiffy lantern. Special thanks to TJ Ring for all the help and for passing out...... cards every week. TJ's final putt of the glow season fittingly hit the basket and rolled 60 feet.

It has now been two years since an ace has been hit in our little league. We will begin next season with the pot at $1015.

Final standings and stats will be posted at a later date.
