Went to play a round at Fox Hill Flyer last evening. I was there about a month ago and the woods were filled with trash. I went this time with trash bags expecting to play a slow round while filling bags. Someone shows that course love! It looked wonderful. It would be enough to make Cooper send letters if it was known what group did the pick up. ;D  I managed to fill two very small bags while playing.

Also, the course was really busy. Saw Johnny D. and many other singles and groups. As I was leaving there was a Mom, Grandma, and two kids starting. All were throwing discs.

I managed to break par for the first time on the course too.

Fox Hill = Positive Trifecta.

Three people with PDGA numbers under 5300, including Jamie Barry, competed in Pro Grandmasters in Columbia, MO. Jamie won the division!

At the same event Fred Smith won Pro Masters and Ken "Tank" Franks was second in Open!

Way to represent KC!!

Played an event there last weekend and the course looked fantastic. Mowed and trimmed. Weed-eating done through the woods. Set up was mixed with 4-5 signature holes long and the rest mostly short. The ticks were, um, how should I say this... horrible. Found about 20 during the two rounds and a tick check that evening revealed a couple more tiny ones.

It's a shame this is going up against the Lake Perry event nearby.

I submitted the online form and never was contacted. Planning on Blue Valley Friday morning. I am free all weekend for anything needed. I will just keep asking and try to figure out where THE NEED is day to day...

I'm in lovely Moberly, MO now. Played/walked both courses today and they are sweet. The Lakes is nearly 10,000 feet tipped out and looks tough.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like there will be many here.

If anyone does decide to come, DO NOT take 210/24 as the roads are closed in more than one spot. Take I-70! The flooding added an hour to my drive today.

I recommend Rotterdam. Same shops and whatnot if that is what you are into but much mellower and cleaner from what I saw. Amsterdam is an hour by train if you want to visit, which you probably should.

Rotterdam is modern and Amsterdam is old. Rotterdam is a major port and was flattened in WWII. The cities felt totally different to me.

Understandable with the dogs Joe. Nine of us stayed and sprayed and played. A good number of golfers and non-golfers are spending the weekend. Thanks to Tony for renting the site.

I am going to make my way there from Bonner Springs via Tonganoxie and Oskaloosa on 40, 16 and 92.  Should be a nice little drive in the country.   :)

It is a nice little drive and worth it!  I certainly plan on being on there.

Does anyone have an extra score port I can borrow?

I have a scorepointe that I will bring. I assume that is what you mean? Also, there was a tree down on #5 Woodhenge. The hole is playable but...

A dozen out for a chilly, breezy round on the hills above the city. Temp right at 40 with winds of 10-15.

Arturo led the way with a 51, Jamie whooped on me in the Seniors, and the Joshes tied in Advanced.

Arturo Villarreal  51
Kevin Zane  53
Billy Nelson  53

Ted Keith  62

Advanced (4)

Josh Oothoudt  59
Josh Lawson  59
Robert Lawson  71
Alec Lawson  75

Ace Pool = $516

WOW! I haven't had that much fun shooting over 70 since playing Idlewild. Took a seven on hole three but the guy I played with had a beautiful three. My favorite hole was probably 13.

We met Ranger Kyle and some other park folks during the round. They were spreading seed and doing other course work. The place will get nothing but better.

The course appears to be tipped out right now with the shorter pins looking quite a bit easier. Great pads, and benches on most holes. We got through it in just over 2 hours.

It was about 1.25 hours taking 24 across but well worth the drive and I hope to get back out there soon.

Go Play This Course!!!

I just want to play 12 on the peninsula!

There is still the long alternate tee setting down from the hilltop left too I bet. You could play that one and still have 17 peninsula.

hahaha, damn teddy K. Life's easy when your bag is made up of the "stuff nobody wants" bin

Sad but true. I've been throwing those mids for 25 years, why change now? They didn't save me from an 880 round at Cliffy the other night but it's still generally the best part of my game.  :)
